I'm itching for someone to do the match thread early but let's reflect on last years match: We won 1-0! A Mr. Lovren scored the winner. The team was: 31 Boruc 02 Clyne 05 Lovren 06 Fonte 23 Shaw 04 Schneiderlin 09 Rodriguez (Cork 89) 12 Wanyama 17 Osvaldo 20 Lallana (Ward-Prowse 76) 07 Lambert (S Davis 66) 9 of the 14 players involved are still Saints + we have some good signings. Already pissed off with everyone expecting us to get whooped. Same result for me - with Lovren scoring an own goal! COYR!!!!
Morgan and JRod won't be playing so it's really only 7 or 14. And only 4 of 11 starters and a different manager. Will we get a result this time around? I hope so. I actually think that out of all the changes from that game last season to this, Koeman will be the best replacement. If things start to go badly wrong this game, i think Ron will have a good plan B. I'm actually more excited to see him in charge of the game than any new signings playing in it! Up the Saints!!!!
