We didn't want a fence, as we didn't want the away end to be a fixed size. We now have two options for visiting clubs, either they take a 1,600 allocation in E1-E3(leaving the North free for home fans), or they can take a maximum allocation which includes N6-N7(which is a total of a little under 2,500).
The idea of a fan park area outside the ground is a cracking idea. Have always thought that the area surrounding the ground is massively under utilised and am confident if done right would attract alot of fans pre match. A couple of beers, live music and a good bit of banter would be a cracking start to the day for all ages.
That's great, appreciate the notes from the meeting. Next time can you ask them how they feel about losing long standing pass holders (like myself) who haven't renewed this season due to the lack of respect shown in 2013/14 towards their core of loyal supporters. Cheers
Totally agree, Man City have an excellent set up in that respect, wouldn't cost much to replicate what they have but it would massively improve the match day experience.
There is but apparently there was a gap that could be exploited, the disabled toilets were shared and you could easily just walk through. Think they're fixing it
We didn't go and look round, so I'm afraid I've no idea what the internals are like, but I'd assume there are gates as you've mentioned. I do know that there's a new concourse kiosk to service the away fans and the East Stand kiosks remain the same, but with less people, so serving times should improve.
I don't think the club are under any illusion about the amount of people they've pissed off in the past season, these fan groups are an attempt to engage more with the fans and take more of their views on board, but they are aware that with many irreparable damage has already been done. I think they still hope that over time, bridges can be built, but the reality is that it will all turn to **** again if AA files another name change application.
I don't think they'll be all that bothered considering there's only a very small drop in the total number of season tickets and with the price increase revenue from season ticket sales is probably up on last year.
When you say about the name. Change at the last meeting quite a few challenged an' s view and he apologised on their site. Was you all as one this time or were others disagreeing with you?
Don't Everton have a fan park? I'm sure that's what I walked through at Goodison last season. Speaking of Patty and Chips, Bob Carver now has like a van you see at markets which he tried out a few times last season selling party and chips. Problem was not many fans knew about it so I think he stopped coming to match days. He sold it from a car park from one of the pubs on Analaby Road (not sure which). Might be worth the club getting in touch with him about being a part of the fan park since he'd already be set up. Are the club doing anything with schools and clubs OLM?
There were only six of us, but none of the six supported the name change. In fact, nobody really supports the name change, some just support the idea that AA should be allowed to do what he likes.
Thats not true. AN apologised for putting words in his mouth. At that meeting there were about 15 of us and two objected to me saying it was the big issue for a lot of fans, but one of them admitted on AN he doesn't want the name to change.
Who decides who is on the group and who they're speaking for? I know of a fair few people that didn't get a reply to emails from the invite. There's a big danger of it going the same way as the others if it's just the same people where some push their own views rather than those of those they're supposed to represent.
Good to hear that you are talking about serious issues like policing and segregation as well as trivialities like what pies are on sale
Is there any development whatsoever regarding stadium expansion OLM When we played AS Trencin we could of sold out twice due to the ticket pricing Surely Mr Allam would have noticed the capacity and the atmosphere. On that nights experience alone I would say we could fill a 35,000 stadium with those prices
