If we do we should all go round his wearing horse masks and singing the lambton worm. The spooky version...with geet big gooogly eyes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCieG4zQlWY
Glad Gus is holding out for that price, Wickham is English, young and can score goals he could get us 15-20 this season. If he goes who would replace him ?.
Agreed. Sell him for what we got him for no great problem. Thank you for the half dozen goals in three years, adieu. Who we get in to replace him I have no idea. Fancy Fletcher to be the main man in CF this season.
I feel like i've been transported to another planet, like that nutter in Independence day, probed by aliens, and then discarded like a worthless piece of meat. Returned to earth, and have missed out on everything.. In which year was it released that Gus (who is obviously in charge of finances now) is holding out for 8m?
They must be scouse sour grapes, getting ready to light another ****ing candle.. What's happened now, has Cilla Black's cat died? Justice for the moggie!
If Wickham does get 15-20 goals this season that would probably put him somewhere in the £15-20 million bracket! And the fact that he is English? Add another 10 million possibly! I think he is potentially a 10 goals a season player at the mo, which wouldn't be bad for a team like us, as long as everybody else chips in with a few!
It's just as well one of their supporters wasn't in one of the Air Malysia planes ... football doesn't need any more humiliating displays of Liverpool's persecution disorders.
Keep him. He was the catalyst to us still being an EPL club thus giving Ellis a nice little £70 mil courtesy of TV rights etc. Personally couldnt care about his attitude or his perceived lack of intelligence. If he does it on the pitch give him a pay rise. Gus is probably the best man to sort his problems out and make him a better footballer. We could get another five to ten years out of him yet.
That's an awful lot of money for someone who's only scored half a dozen premiership goals, possibly less?
Yep it is a lot of money, we won't be expecting a bid in excess of £10m, I'm sure, but then I bet you weren't expecting Liverpool to bid £35m for Carroll. If we get it, it's great money, but we want to keep him West Ham offered £4m, but we'd probably get more if he ran down his contract!
Not as much as 35m though, and I dont think Andy had scored that many in the Premiership either, and still hasn't.
Seems worth more than £4m when you hear of McCormack to Fulham for £11m? Some big money being hoyed about.
