Actor / comedian Robin Williams - star of Mrs Doubtfire and loads of other films - has died through apparent suicide. Great actor RIP
hung himself after battling depression for a year. http://www.news.com.au/entertainmen...liams-dead-at-63/story-fn907478-1227021334663
Somehow suicide doesn't seem so surprising. Sorry to hear he's died, as he starred in some of my favourite films.
Very sad. But by all accounts he had been battling depression for years. A brilliant comedian and actor...but a tormented soul. RIP RW!!
Really very sad. I said to the missus this morning that I always thought there was a sort of melancholy about him. Even when he smiled it was kind of sad smile. A great talent gone.
A line of his, from Dead Poets Society, quoting Henry David Thoreau, was: "Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them." It could be his epitaph.
Such a shock but I guess not a surprise always appeared to be living on the edge, comedy genius, RIP.
RIP.... what is it with comedians / comedy actors and depression? Throughout time we have lost so many of them to suicide, so ironic when they gave so much joy to millions but suffered the silent killer themselves....RIP Robin.
