    Suicide apparently, been dealing with depression for a quite a while

    Can't remember the last time i've been saddened by a celebrity passing. Real shame this one

    Rarely celebrity deaths affect me, but this one as seriously left me gutted :( Grew up with this guy in basically every movie that defined my childhood. Showed me what it was to laugh, and influenced my sense of humor even today. Once in a lifetime genius, there will never be anyone who can scale to his heights imo.

    Huge news here.....the guy was a genius.....my favorite was Patch Adams....."I have lost everything but I have also gained everything"....also in that film Philip Seymour Hoffman.....too tragic for words....rest in peace both of you.

    First I've heard of it.
    Really feel for the bloke & his family.
    I've had depression before & I know what it's like.

    As somebody already said, my favourite film of him was Good Will Hunting.
    Not just Williams but Matt Damon & Ben Afflick too.
    Brilliant film.

    ****ing hell. Wife told me this morning. Gutted and very saddened the bloke couldn't retire happy and felt he had to take this route.

    Good will hunting, good morning Vietnam, mork and mindy ........but my favorite was probably the obscure 'world according to Garp' when I was growing up. Funny, funny bastard. RIP&H dude.
