Lovren praised by Rodgers for performance at the weekend and Chambers voted MOTM by Arsenal fans - whilst disappointed at the manner of their departures, can't help feeling proud it was Saints that made them such good players
There's so many ex-players out there who have gone on to so-called better things. If Saints were able to keep them then SFC would have a Champions League winning side. But no, they're too keen to jump onto bandwagons and the money trail rather than do something truely historic. I used to feel like you about ex-Saints but not these days.
Forte scored 2. Antonio scored 1. No doubt others did alright too, but we can't get anything out of history.
I was pleased to see Chambers do well, but at the same time not selling him would have sorted out our CB problem. Disappointed to see him go so early on in his career. It does seem that SRL seems to be getting a bit of stick up at Liverpool so far which I do find saddening. Would be more than happy to welcome him back! I couldn't care less about Lovren following his apparent disgusting behaviour here before leaving.
Why did we let him go? We could have played Billy Sharp up front with Lee Barnard, lethal partnership.
The only news I want to hear about Lovren is that he's broken his neck falling off his cash mountain.
Lambert isn't getting any stick from Liverpool fans... Hasn't clicked for him yet though. Lovren was great yesterday. Hallmarks of a great player on show.
I think the Brazilian off-season is something like October-February, so I'd expect him to be picked up during that period I guess.
