I understand your point Judo but he doesn't want to play for us and Redknapp probably wouldn't play him even if he did. His wages are said to be £65k a week. If we make him see out the last year of his contract training with the kids, we spend another £3.4m paying him for nothing, and act as petty and puerile as he is. He is obviously too thick to understand the best way to get a good move away is to be fit and play his best - unless Redknapp has told him that he won't be played whatever, and/or other players have said they don't want him around. The bridge has burned from both ends. Unless someone else comes in for him, which is highly unlikely given his behaviour, he is worth only what Milan are prepared to pay for him, and he's worse than worthless to us, he's a burden. I'd love it if he bought into QPR and Redknapp would give him a chance, but it's not going to happen. Milan and his agent have played a blinder, but if its any consolation they are in a downward spiral themselves, sacking Seedorf was nuts and they are trying to offload Balotelli as they need the cash.
Man alive. What a bloody shambles and what a shame that such a talent has let it come to this. Only at QPR. If only.....
His wages are what, £65k pw is it? If that figure is true or nearly true it amounts to somewhere in the region of £3.5m per year, 2 years of his contract remaining costs the club £7m. If we can get £3m for him that's £10m we've saved. It's not like he's doing something for the club that nobody else could do, we could all do exactly what he does at the moment, no special skill required. Take the money is how I see it. See Stan's much better post!
Good luck Taarabt You will shine wherever you are This is not QPR anymore ...as I predicted The most talented number 10 in our history is thrown away by today's QPR fan Harold first QPR second How did that happen RIP Flyer
I was joking Pete. I think that all of us would just love to hear that Adel had turned a corner and would buy into our little club and do his best for us. Sadly it's not the case. It's frustrating for all of us fans. We have him here, our no.10 back in the Prem and a chance to perform on a global stage. But still that's not seemingly enough to placate him. I'm going to stop posting on any threads about him from now on. As far as I'm aware his last action for us was ducking when Maloney took that free-kick when we played Wigan at home. That sums him up for me.
Is there not a player swap deal we could do?? As isnt there still a 40% cut for Levy... sorry Spurs from the sale.
There is so much rubbish written here based on nothing. Has Adel said he wants to leave and won't train or play for us.? The only comment I have read is Arry saying he isn't fit enough to train yet, which was a føkkin lie as he did at the least at open training in Ireland. Arry is playing with you. When he wants to sell him you'll here another version of his bullcheet. If Milan won't pay enough for Adel, there are other Clubs who will. If we had a half decent Manager Adel would be playing games for us in pre-season, playing against Hull and Spurs and if he does want away Clubs would be lining up before the window shuts.
Sell or not sell £3m is a joke. If it was me i'd tell them to stick it and play him. Show what you can do and go in Jan. One or two flashes of brilliance and price will double. We are also a business and not a registered charity. The way his price is decreasing I could buy him for £2 and a bag of scratchings come Sep
Sorry DT....he is not the best QPR no 10 in history...I have been watching since 66 and would put him no better than 4th...and each one of those mavericks had a better attitude to the game and our club than Adel. The team do not want him...he thinks he is too good for us...this is not Arrys fault this time...It is a no brainer for me...thanks for the memories Adel....go before you tarnish them any further...
Agreed, what concerns me are the wages. Can't see them paying anywhere near what we were paying. At the moment, he's costing us 65k a week for doing nothing. I'd give him away for zip providing we don't have to subsidise anything. Cut losses and we stop paying....... That is a good thing.
Sell. Sell. Sell. All this bollocks about sacking Harry and bringing in someone who can "handle" Adel is doing my head in. He doesn't want to be at QPR. He has NEVER wanted to be at QPR. He has always viewed our club was just a stepping stone to greater things. "Taarabt is too good for you" rings out from the stands .... but it is also what Adel thinks about QPR! No man-manager or head-doctor will change that. It would be fantastic to have a fit, inspired, hard working Adel in the team, but that is never going to happen. There is only one person to blame and that is Adel himself.
This I don't understand why, if AT excelled in Europe last year why aren't people breaking the door down to get him ? Why is there only a 3m offer on the table, surely a player that excelled would be worth a lot more ? Let him go with all the best wishes for his future.
I'm thinking that this post, word for word, sentence after sentence, would have to be the most accurate post that this forum has ever received. Well done to you, Sir.
