Proposed change to the Southampton forum

Hello all...

Keeping it short, I posted a photo on here earlier and TSS suggested about changing our header/banner photo - currently St. Mary's with red and white tifo.

I hadn't considered this idea before, but I think I'd be in support of the change - new era and all that going on at the moment!

Before pushing ahead with anything, it was said that we should poll those on the forum - to see if they agreed with the change, or not.


So that's pretty much it.

Why not. Everybody else has gone this summer, so why not the header.

 

Yes, and do remember that although we might get a resounding YES from posters, the powers that be might come back with a resounding NO. But hey, we can but try, and I'm sure it would help the cause if people liked the photo.

Me, I like the old one, but there's no reason why we can't freshen up things once in a while, and I do like DTLW's photo above too.

 

I'd rather not because I hate the stupid hashtag, but I don't really mind either way.

Also it's not the right size and it might look really stupid stretched.

 

Even if we do get a resounding YES for that photo, I presume you'll use another photo that you like anyhow TSS?!

(smiley face so you can't get annoyed).

 

I voted yes. But would be nice for a choice of headers.

 

Cropping it to the top of Pelle's head might make it fit. Cuts out most of the hashtag, too.

 

I stretched it to roughly the right size so so people can see what it would like like stretched. Someone who knows what they're doing can probably do a better job than me, but here's my effort.

Always amused me when other boards here had to change their banners because they'd sold half the players involved, and quite liked the fact that ours was immune to such (even when we weren't wearing stripes), so I'd vote to keep.

I like the idea of a change, and I like the photo, but against an empty stand? I can just imagine the sk8 comments - everyone left early again then!
