If we get through the next round/rounds of the Europa League, we are going to need all the players we have.

SB needs to level with Quinny and give him a new contract.

    IMO.

    [EDIT: http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/08/08/jv-p-hull-city-season-preview-201415/?

" Although it is a fantastic achievement for Hull to be playing in the Europa League, and one which should be grasped with both hands, the increase in fixtures will test their squad to the max.

Hull do not possess an abundance of players and they must ensure that the competition does not derail their domestic campaign."

The fact that there is not even one club mentioned in the article probably means it is complete nonsense.

I think when Bruce said he couldn't look some people in the eye and promise them football and that a couple would be leaving he was talking about Quinn and Boyd.

Both are too good to be sitting on our bench, and are excellent Championship players, so I couldn't blame either one bit for moving on.

I've had a feeling in my water that both Quinn and Boyd will leave.

Can see Boyd leaving due to a lot of wingers and attacking mids being here now but surely Quinn would leave us short in the middle of the park

Quinn is a player I do like and I think he will stay. Boyd can be replaced he is nothing special.

I like both and wouldn't like to see either leave.

If Quinn leaves that only leaves Hudderstone, Livermore and Meyler. Rather then letting CM leave I'd like to see us add one.

This, but vie thought for a long time that both will be on their way.

Boyd is excellent and every bit a premier league player IMO. Ok he's a little slow, but with feet like his he doesn't need to be fast, he can jink round defenders like he's on a game of FIFA. Very, very good player and a bit unlike anything else we have.

I think Boyds probably gonna leave next season anyway. He's only moved into his house for a year

Once you get better it really is the managers expertise to try and keep everyone reasonably happy. But you need good quality players to come off the bench when needed or step in when injuries or suspensions occur. We need to keep the likes of Quinn and Boyd on-side, as the chances are we will need them.

Its difficult when you have good players who are not playing plus sometimes you have to make changes to get to that next level so i would imagine SB will let squad players go but only if he can replace them having said that it must get more and more difficult to keep everyone happy

Well that's not necessarily true is it? He probably got the house when he signed, how would he know if he'd be here beyond the end of his contract?

I think Boydy is a class player, he might not have pace, but he's very good on the ball and a very clever footballer. I doubt we'll see him leave. Quinn I'm not so sure about, yeah, he's a good footballer and if other PL clubs are sniffing around him, he'll probably want out.

I think the championship is probably quinns level, he's a very steady and consistent team player but he's no fireworks and rarely pulls up trees.

Too good to be a squad player, which is a shame because he's exactly the type of dependable player you want on your roster when needs must.

I agree. Plus he was one of those players who looked good in our 352, but I'm not sure he'd fit in a 442 at this level, he's not quite creative enough to play centre midfield and he's not quick enough to play wide left. I like him off the bench when we're a goal up, but I think he ought to move on to better his career. Same with Boyd really.

I don't know what Quinn is supposed to do. Every time he plays he looks good. I can't recall him ever having a bad game. It reminds me of Cairney in that he always used to be underrated no matter what he did. I bet it'll turn out the same way if he leaves.

Always rated Quinn but I think wouldn't want us to be one of the PL clubs looking at him. He's a Championship player.

Quinny very rarely gives the ball away which at any level of football is a great commodity to have. I hope he stays as there will come a time when he will be called upon and he wont let us down. See the way he bamboozled Ramsay in cup final for Davies to score our 2nd goal , class :)
