Makes me think of us chasing Vieri a few years back.

It seems strange that the only interest is from a newly promoted club, surely if he was half decent they'd be a stack of clubs after his signiture

Spurs were dead keen earlier in the summer.

I bet you're glad you have that 30k per week wage cap, aren't you, don't want any types like Cambiasso now do you?

He'll get a signing on fee and the rest will be 30k p/w I should imagine.

Rumoured to be a 5m contract over 2 seasons. So he'd get a signing on fee of around 1.9m.

The wage cap (which I am delighted with) is to stop overspending, but considering he's a free agent I think there'd be some leeway.

£10m for Forster from Southampton. I'd like to see him playing in the Premier League and push Joe Hart more for the England jersey.

Stevie May cleared for talks with Rotherham United and Sheffield Wednesday for £800k. He's the striker we were linked with, though not sure there was any truth in it.

Right, looks like we're actually getting him.

The 5m contract over two seasons rumour was misguided.

He's being paid 2m euros for a one year deal with the option to have another. That equates to 30.7k p/w.

    Struggling to contain my excitement.

No offence, but there's a reason Inter have been **** the past few years and that he's signing for Leicester. He's a big name, but I don't expect him to pull up too many trees.

You're entitled to that opinion, however misguided it appears.

Inter haven't been **** because of him.
He's also leaving because he wants to play in the Premier League before he retires.

IMO this is a better signing than Huddlestone joining you last season.

He's a better player and cheaper, only age lets him down. Think Drinkwater will thrive alongside him.

I didn't claim Inter were s**t because of him. I said Inter were s**t, indicating Cambiasso is nowhere near what he used to be.

I understand you have your blinkers on when it comes to all things Leicester, hence your misguided opinion.

Honestly, if we were signing him, I'd be excited by the name but weary of his and Inters recent seasons. There's a reason they're struggling and a reason he wasn't in the Argentina squad.

So my misguided opinion is, he'll be a decent signing that won't pull up many trees.

We won't need him to pull up trees, simply to keep the back door shut and use his experience to keep the ball. Having him in the team will allow our creative players more freedom

By pulling up trees I mean become one of your best players. As I have said, he will be a solid signing, but that's it. It's not an attack on Leicester of Cambiasso, just my opinion.

He'll be there to mold the young lads into professionals. I think Drinkwater will come on leaps and bounds just being around him. I'm not sure how effective he'll be on the field though. Serie A isn't what it once was and Inter certainly aren't. It'll be interesting to see what he does in the Prem.

Serie A players typically take quite a while to adjust.

Sky Sports understands that Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed a fee for Leicester City striker Chris Wood. The 22-year-old, who joined the Foxes permanently from West Brom in January last year, has fallen down the pecking order in Nigel Pearson's side following the arrival of record signing of Leonardo Ulloa.
