He has been sent to his room to think about what he's done No doubt he'll start playing with his toys again, forget about what he got upset about and when it's dinner time he'll be back and realise life isn't as bad after all
I agree with the sentiment here but I would've thought that insurance was actually paying for JRod's wages. I'm pretty sure that all players are insured against long term injury where the club pay something like the first 4 weeks like an excess on normal insurance.
I thought insurance paid out if the player was permanently injured. I would imagine the premiums to cover a player if he is out injured would be too high to be worth while....as temporary injuries are far more common than career-ending injuries.
I remember reading other teams fans making fun on West Ham boards about Carroll being paid so much then being out for 6 months and most of the sensible Hammers replies were detailing that insurance would have been paying it after 2 or 4 weeks or something. EDIT - Found it: http://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=150293&start=2520#p3942349
Thinking of JRod who isn't sulking as far as I know. At least he allowed himself to be photographed for Sky whereas Morgan appeared to be absent....I presume when he plays his first game for us, Sky will use a cartoon.
I really can't believe that is true and if you can get insurance then it's only going to last for a set period of time. Perhaps 2-3 months. Like Fran said earlier the premiums required would be monumental.
I think the insurance they have is for catastrophic injury, similar to the RFU, which would cover club in terms of asset value and the player with a large settlement for loss of earnings, etc. Like you say premiums would be huge for one covering general injury.
Spurs fan in peace. We have had players (Berbatov, Modric, Bale) do what Schneiderlin has done and imo it's disgusting. Although he seems to be a good player and would definitely add to the squad at Spurs, I hope that Saints hold firm and tell him he isn't going anywhere.
I think that's the general idea. Morgan has never been a trouble maker, so it must be his agent who is advising him to wriggle. If he can come to his own conclusion, I'm pretty sure he'll knuckle down and play in future. If he backs himself into a corner then everybody loses.
You were obviously a happy and well balanced child. I'm hoping he doesn't break all his toys and **** in his sister's Wendy House.
I am but i'm sure Levy isn't because if it means making a profit on him in a few years time then it's win win for him.
