There were a few very good kids in the team, how did they all go? I'm in London for my annual jaunt and went to the Chelsea Megastore yesterday. Got a kit for my 4 year old grandaughter, the Spud son in laws little one. Got Lampard 8 on it just to piss him off a bit more. The store was packed to the rafters, mainly foreigners( like me) and the Costas and Hazards were walking out the door !!! Whoever is running the Overseas Fan department is doing a great job. Would love to see a pre season trip to Oz, Liverpool got 85,000 to a match in Melbourne last year, so numbers won't be a problem. Nice to be at the Bridge again.
Nationwide severe weather warning issued by met office for this Saturday. Not sure Kingsmeadow will be able to handle it. Kingsmeadow used to be owned by Kingstonian (back when my mate Francis Vines played for them) but AFC Wimbledon bought the ground and Kings are now the tennents.
Beat AFC Wimbledon 3-2 today. Was 2-0 down at HT....Terry scored twice and Salah got the other one. Lewis Baker assisted all three. Giving Jose something to think about.
Shocking performance, it might be pre-season but Terry had a horrendous game. Third goal was not a pen but not much I can add other than we need to pick it up next game.
Well, you could say we can only get better. Pretty ordinary all round, hardly anyone played well. Think Jose still has some problems with balance, but hey, this is what friendlies are for. Sure we'll come up well for start of season. Our 1 st 11 will be fine, but we are short of back ups up front , CD, and someone to pull the strings in midfield. Still think some players within the squad will make the step up once we get cracking. Your gaffer is going OK, hope he keeps Kagawa as I have seen him play brilliantly for Japan, but hes never really fired for you. Maybe Van Gaal can do the job?
Obviously a disappointing result but we still have plenty of players to come back, some players still well short of match fitness plus friendlies are always completely different to competitive matches so no need to panic just yet!!
Pretty lame despite the refs generous donation of 2 pens to the Werder cause - you learn more from a defeat than you do from a victory......let's hope so.
Diego Costa jsut scored an amazing goal, dribbled through their entire defence - and has just nearly had his legs broken by Bruno Alves with a disgusting challlenge. Now Ivan scored a rebound. Looking sharp so far.
My CTV reception tonight is making this hard to watch. It keeps having " Satellite disturbance" and freees for long periods! Doh!!
Looks like Real Society's game against us at the Bridge is live free for all (except in Spain) !! http://www.chelseafc.com/videos/chelsea-tv-freetoview.html?intcmp=FCP_CTV_PRE_RSO_WEB_STF
Thanks Gaz-that was brilliant! Let's hope he can do a repeat performance against Man City next month!
