I find it hard to believe footballers these days. I mean, he only hard to turn down offers from Cardiff and Hull, **** teams AND **** cities. I'd like to believe he loves Saints, but if he has a good year and a big team come in with offers of $$$$?
When he is 31???? Would take one hell of a big year including winning the world cup in a non world cup year and the PL with monster displays every week. lol
Well, Cardiff offered him a considerable wage rise - but he's happy here. Obviously a top club isn't going to come in from Fonte and he probably realises he's got a good deal here, good wages, top class facilities, a big name manager and a great relationship with the Southampton supporters. He's also got a young family and he's recently married his partner. FWIW, he was looking at houses in Southampton today, he's getting a bigger house.
With a trophy cabinet big enough for the PL trophy replica he'll have made when we win it this season.

Great news to wake up to...a legend! Dropped down a league to join us in L1 and been a rock at the heart of the defence ever since. His step up in performance last year was fantastic and should be our captain unless RK brings in two top CB (hearty laughing)
I think this is the mindset that a lot of fans will have now, having been through the 'summer of pain'. Caring about something is giving it the the power to hurt your feelings, and hoping it doesn't. And we never trust as easily as we did the first time.
