"Ander Herrera could be that player, but after catching glimpses of United’s International Champions Cup game with Liverpool, I am still not sure what his best position is".

    FFS <doh>

    'After catching glimpses'

So basically admitting that he turned the match off after United started taking Brenda's Bindippers apart. What a ****ing bitter, dirty little vermin.

Actually, we aren't as far of a top 7 spot as seems to be the opinion.

I think, on paper, and injury free us, Mags & Swansea have the strongest starting XI's, Hull I can't include as the Europa will murder them.

Whickham or Fletch - That's 2 strikers capable of 10-15 each, Jozy, well he may well improve, time will tell.

Borini (or alternative)/Giaccerini/AJ - That is as good, potentially, as any attacking midfield trio outside the top 6. Giacc scored and created despite barely figuring, AJ always chips in good stats, as did Fabio, none of these lads are injury prone either.

Catts/Rodwell - Rodwell obviously slightly advanced, but this looks straight away like a complimentary partnership, Rodwell is a good passer, but he will also carry well and create space for Giacc, who's vision and weight of pass is exceptional.

PVA - Dutch international, massive pace, not great defensively but then, only the very top wing backs are.
Brown - Still an incredible reader of the game
JOS/Vergini - One is ****, but had a good run of form, one could easily improve into exactly the ball playing CB with a bit of pace we need, no fear here.
Jones - Utterly solid & dependable, good on ball, concerns re injury record.

Vito - Was the leagues best last season and was robbed. Simple as that.

Now, I don't think we will finish top 7, but I can see why some might, Gus has us playing great football that kept us up, the players added will only enhance that.

That's based solely on first XI, but actually Seb, Gomez, Mavrias, Jozy, Pantimillion, Bridcutt etc, the squad is nowhere near as far short as it has been, plus some of the young lads are looking close.

I think we can have a great season, bringing in 4 with PL experience is key, and credit Gus/Conger for that.

plus a striker so the wage bill would spiral. If we don't go for borini, we need someone who can play inside forward and upfront or we need two players instead one. That's two transfer fees, two signing on fees and two sets of wages.
