Really not sure about that tbh. If we can improve our DEF in the tune of about another 2 or 3 then I´ll thank him for what he´s done & you can have him.

I'd take the title right now, have us not play a game, and not even ask for a refund on my season ticket. Aint going to happen though. There are a lot of good teams in the Championship. I would settle for the playoffs right now with a trip to Wembley thrown in.
I think Mike is trying to tempt fate on our behalf! I think we should do well this year. We have the nucleus of a good team from last year, we are signing players who should improve what we already have, we have a world class manager, we have stability behind the scenes and we have a happy dressing room. So yeah...title won! Except football doesn't work like that. I'm sure there will be many twists, turns, upsets and disasters before this time next year. I think we have the best chance in years of stepping up a division but even if we do...it won't be plain sailing. Dig in for the slog.
Hobbs will sign for Hull in the next few days. Apparently we wouldnt sell anyone until we had signed a few because we didnt want to be seen as a selling club. I think new signings arent far away either and we have meant to have started talks with Man City over Ben Mee
I'm not sure I rate Ben Mee over Hobbs. I know this is controversial. I know Hobbs made a lot of mistakes at the beginning of last season, but who didn't? And while I am very happy for Mee to sign for the club, I never saw anything last season which made me look at him the way many others do. Maybe I missed something? I think the bottom line is, Ben Mee is far more suited to Sven's sexy football than 'win it and hoof' Hobbs.
On Hobbs vs Mee Tevez walks through Hobb's powder puff tackle to score first goal in Cup Replay - then gets embarrasingly dumped on his bum for the penalty Mee leaves a lump the size of an Ostrich egg on Sol Bamba's head such is his focus and commitment .... IMO Mee, potentially, is a future international - Hobbs is probably not...
Hobbs is the best all round defender we have, Bamba one minute looks brilliant and the next minute looks a clown. Saying about Hobbs giving a peno away, how many did Ben Mee give away. Ben Mee commitment is unquestionable but sometimes he is too committed something he will learn with experience. When he smashed Adel Taarabt that was fine because if he got that wrong it would be been a free kick quite far out and probaly a booking. While he cant keep sliding in when hes in the area, sliding in has to be a last resort as you are going to give penos away with all the diving that happens now adays. I would have Ben Mee back as i think he will be a very good defender one day but he has a lot to learn and he will be alot better for his experiences last season
sean st ledger is so over-rated, somebody else would have taken the plunge on him ages ago if he was any good. he's been out on loan a few times and nobody did anything to try and keep him, facts speak for themselves
2-3 more defenders and 2-3 more strikers should be enough for a good season. Looks like it could be: DEF: Jonathan Parr, Sean St. Ledger, Ben Mee ATT: David Nugent, Craig Mackail-Smith, Nicky Maynard. Obviously some of these might not happen, but would be nice to have 2 ATT and 2 DEF from this list Peter Masilela and Miguel Vitor on loan would be good too, then we will be ready for a big promotion push.
Right for next season we dont need anymore goalkeepers or centre mids. Strikers i would like us to sign Nugent, Maynard and Mackail-Smith. We would need 2 wingers. A left back 3 centre halfs and try and get Naughton
