The whole thing is quickly becoming a joke. Now I was one of Borini's biggest fans last season, I thought he was brilliant, but! We have given Borini & Liverpool more than enough time, seems they are taking the piss out of us. Enough is enough, thanks for last season but let's move on.

I'd love to see what else we could do for 14 million. That's Bony, Osvaldo and Moussa Sow kind of money.

I think he has agreed in principle and if the rumours are yo be believed they were negotiating yesterday over his contract. It could simply be Liverpool waiting for a replacement or his shoulder injury. I have a gut feeling we will sign him today, if not move on, like everyone says he's not Messi. If he does sign though a quick pr story will get him back onside with the fans & a decent forward line we will have, & non of them loaned. Progress.

Maybe he is just holding out long enough to see if a better offer comes in for him. After all, Liverpool down to Sunderland is a step down for a player. I honestly think we should had moved on ages ago and started making bids for alternatives. The more worrying thing is that after Poyets threat we still haven't heard anything re. Wickham's contract. Let's hope that we arn't left with Fletcher and Graham when we have 20+ million (14 borini and 6 wickham) that we could use on potential replacements.

I think we should go for Sinclair at 3-4 million, sell Wickham for 6-7 million, pay whatever they want for Alonso and then find a proper 15+ a season goal scorer.

Then again it'll probably all start falling into place today... wickham signs, vergini in, borini signs.

Probably the best deal for everybody involved is another loan season. Would suit both clubs and apparently the player.

Spot on. Especially if we agree a buying price at the end of next season now. We could use the cash to get Alonso.

To be fair to him, he called the AJ transfer weeks before anyone else. Let's see if he's correct with this one.

I reckon this shoulder injury is the main reason for this dragging on tbf.

My guess is we will sign him this week, however his rehabilitation and lack of pre-season fitness training will surely mean he probably won't be ready for the Man Utd game.

Would a shoulder injury stop you from doing leg work? Never had one, touch wood

I'm sure Borini enjoyed scoring in a cup final & playing every week, don't care how big Liverpool is, if your not playing it's time to move on. I don't think Rodgers wants him, especially for the silly money we are paying. I don't think Poynton would have gave him this much time tbh. That's why I think he is nearly over his injury or it doesn't look serious and they are in negotiations now. Not that I believe itk much but the Den lad's story stacks up to me.

Is anyone else starting to hate Borini. All of this is starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth with Italians. I'd rather try and sign Welbeck.

Our player of the year was Italian, as is the most talented player at the club.

No, I'll not judge until I know the full story. Hating someone on speculation is unfair imo. I'm annoyed it's dragging on and worried he may think he's better than he is and overvalues himself. The same applies to Connor. But until there's proof they both get the benefit of the doubt with me and I'd like to see them both sign contracts with Sunderland. I'm no gullible media sheep and I will not let them form my opinion for me. I'd rather keep an open mind until I learn the facts.
