We landed in Humberside and already we have a lunch in a nice hotel in quiet surroundings, Mercure Park about 20 minutes from the stadium-. In the evening we visit, and tomorrow we go training on it.

Didn't think Partick were in the Europa league...ah!you mean the team that have narrowly lost,but also have beaten Barcelona FC in recent years.Never,ever underestimate the opposition.These lads from Trencin will see this as a cup final,a chance to beat a top english team while already in a strong position to progress,i.e. score draw will do.They should be right up for it.
City have the quality to slaughter these guys,but it will never be a foregone conclusion.That's the beauty of cup comps.

Hopefully they've been on the piss since they got here but,unlike the Icelandic pilots I've worked with,the price of beer is far greater in the UK than Slovakia.It may be a forlorn hope.

Why is beating Barcelona FC (sic) seen as the height of achievement? Loads of absolutely ****e teams have beaten then. What's your point? We beat Liverpool who have won far more european cups / champions league titles than FC Barcelona.
