    Hi Goonerz

I'm in peace from the Manchester United board...

I bet you just want Cesc to go now don't you? The situation is exactly the same as Ronaldo to Madrid so I remember that pain - - You know it's coming, you don't like it really but after a while you just wan't it over and done with!! Barca are a great team (As United know too well) - I'm not sure he'll fit in as easy as he thinks.... The grass is not always greener is it?

I want him to stay one more season to allow Ramsey to grow and also for his value to rise after having a better season than the one just gone.

We can keep him until he's 28, which would be fine by me personally. After all, even a downhearted Fabregas is a good player.

tell him if he loves arsenal as much as he says he'll stay for another season or 2 and gradually be phased out and help teach the younger players etc or until we can get a decent replacement and maybe win something at arsenal

i agree that its hard to keep a player that doesnt want to be at the club! Arsenal have been thru these sagas before where a player is the subject of prolonged transfer talk - Anelka, Vieira, Overmars, Cole just to name a few.

however, i agree with Ranna a downhearted Fabregas is still one of the best players in the league - the boy got 15 assists last year and he had a 'bad year' and was over shawdowed by wilshere.

So if I was wenger I'd rebuff any offers for him and try and hold on to him for at least another year. As the offers will undoubtly come back next year and if Barca decide they wanna keep making crpa offers then we shall just sell him to Real!

How old is he now anyway?? I can't be bothered to look it up! If 28 soon then you've probably had good value. He might be past it by 33.........
