The credit for this goes to SW Ranger... http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/271600-Jordan-Mutch/page2 post #33 04/08/2014, 04:15 PM...It's done? Too much? Mutch too young? Now we've Harry'd with the kid, so he can have fun with Rss. and adapted by WLW on post #35....Yesterday, 12:06 PM "It's Dunne to Mutch, Mutch to Yun...." But Clive Whittingham has claimed it for one of his posters... ''Plus, as LBlock on the message board points out, it sets up the dream line of: “Dunne to Mutch, Mutch to Yun”. What’s not to like?'' ....Text from club - Mutch officially signs. NM on 17:50 - Aug 5 with 1328 views Lblock Dunne to Mutch, Mutch to Yung You're playing for the R's and having fun with me SW Ranger was 24 hours ahead of everyone else with this. The credit is his.
Congratulations SW Ranger for your creativity. I am very impressed! I also enjoyed listening to the song again which was a real blast to the past of my schooldays. I remember quite a few parties with that being played.
Is it really 35 years since that song was released ?? Where has my life gone. The Specials (without Jerry) are still as great live now, as they were then.
Need to point out - Clive stole my words! Original idea for the song came from SW, so I'm happy to share the glory. Clive does need putting right on the source though...
Hate to disappoint everyone particularly as this made me chuckle but the name is pronounced 'eesla' and not 'eyela'. Madonna's Isla Bonita therefore seems appropriate.
The only problem is that Yun's name isn't pronounced like that. It doesn't rhyme with Dunne. In fact, it doesn't rhyme with any English word because it's pronounced more like moon but said quickly and short, with no elongated vowel. But that's just being technical
Dunne to Mutch Mutch to Yun And now he's flying down the wing And he's crossing it for fun ...to Rio!
How about "Isla's good, Isla's good, Isla's very good" to the tune of Ebeneezer Good by the shamen..it does assume that he turns out to be good!
Football chants tend to work on a more repetitive basis, rather than being based on a new song. Jordon Mutch is perfect as he's got two syllables in his first name and one syllable in his second. This lends itself to a terrace chant, for example Cardiff City's dity to Nathan Blake.... He's quick. He's mean. He robs the fruit machine. Nathan Blake. Nathan Blake. So it's far easier to get a Jordan Mutch song by working back and filling in the gaps. He's .......... He's .......... He ............................. Jordon Mutch. Jordan Mutch. Any suggestions???
