We may get two more on Thursday or Friday if results go our way. That would cheer us all up.

It's a pity Osvaldo didn't work out because I think we could really use him this season. Shame he's a dickhead.

I am in no way excited.

CM is not a position we need to strengthen.

Surely CB x 2, a winger and a forward are more of a concern.

Let's bid for Memphis Depay. I bought him on my FIFA 14 career and in 7 years he went from 73-90! £4m.

Yes, obviously, but the assumption is that this isn't a move we went out seeking, but instead something we picked up from the Osvaldo deal. As such I'm not worried about priorities because it's an opportunistic deal. They need to hurry up with the others, but this deal is separate from all that.

Consider this: in a 4-3-3 we need at least six players who can play in the midfield 3.

Wanyama, Schneiderlin, Cork, Davis, Ward-Prowse, Taider, Reed.

Seven is hardly overkill, especially as Reed may not be ready and Morgan's possibly not happy.

I'm happy with this. If we have 3 cm positions to fill, then its nice to have some quality in rotation. I think we all know we are going to sign players in other positions so there is not much need to worry, the order of the signings isnt the most important part

Especially with either Cork or Schneiderlin likely to leave

Quite happy with this. Taïder is a good player, and as Joe said - with our current formation we need 6 or 7. We've now got that and a good standard too.

It was an opportunistic deal, as Dan has said, and with that in mind, I'm glad we took a good player in a strong position than a crap player who can play CB.

Feel sorry for DTLW - he's probably been sat with his open tab ready to hit 'submit new thread' on this one for 3 hours now!

The stats show that he plays for an indifferent Inter Milan side - last season he had 13 appearances - 12 as a sub and only one full game - a loss to Juve 3-1. Scored one gaol and has one assist. His ratings are poor - waste of space and he is, at best a benchwarmer... Of the games he came on - most times were in the last 10-15 minutes...

If you want to just look at stats and exclusively just stats from when he played for Inter and ignore his Bologna form, yes.

N.B. If you look at Jack Cork's stats from 3 years ago they'd probably not be so impressive either. It's partly that role.

The entire highlights of his contributions in that Juve game are available on youtube. The Inter fans think he is decent, which should reassure you.

He could not get a first team slot in a very poor Inter Milan team and when he did - his rating never exceeded 6.2!! Not just about stats - he's just an excuse for us to get rid of Osvaldo. Cork always showed potnetial - this guy only shows poor hair management!
