ThaiCanary, this is a very interesting idea and thanks for promoting it on a board which isn't even your own. From our point of view, once we've picked a team we don't need to do anything else for the rest of the season! However, what will you do when FACup round 1 takes place - PL & Championship teams playing league games. Div 1 & 2 in Cup. Ditto FA Cup 2, except worse, some Div 1 & 2 teams may already have been knocked out. And on the last day of the PL season no-one else will be playing because their seasons finished the week before. Not trying to be clever or trip you up - just pointing out some pitfalls.
From our point of view, once we've picked a team we don't need to do anything else for the rest of the season! I will be creating previews and summaries every week and will be asking for input from managers of all the teams, quotes etc.... So, it does not need to be a case of sitting back and doing nothing. It can be what you guys want to make it. The more input I get from the team managers the better. If any of you guys want to actually create the previews and summaries then that is fine by me, lightens the workload for me. However, what will you do when FA Cup round 1 takes place - PL & Championship teams playing league games. Div 1 & 2 in Cup. This will be explained later in further detail but basically when a team misses a league game because of FA Cup games, postponements etc then that teams next league games goals will count. It will mean some fixtures can not be completed for maybe 1 or even 2 weeks but it will sort itself out most of the time (I hope) And on the last day of the PL season no-one else will be playing because their seasons finished the week before. The Fun League will be finished when the Championship, League 1 & 2 teams have played 38 games and the PL teams have caught up, which should be around early April. Hopefully that answers your thoughts/concerns. I think it will be easier to see how it works once it's up and running. To be honest I have no idea how easy/hard, practical or otherwise it is going to be until the season starts. Any real problems encountered I can try and resolve and maybe the next time it will change.
I have 21 places available in division 2, to keep Rhysj1 company. Feeling a bit sorry for him now Might need to put him in the Cardiff 2nd division if we can't make the numbers up here
