Hiya Drogs, I'm not in with UIR on the whole conspiracy thing but something about that deal just doesn't seem right, I imagine that you lot would have taken £15 - £20 million for him so why did they come in so high for a player who was quite clearly going to be available? It could be very simple, PSG are ****ing idiots but something just doesn't seem right.
I fail to see how buying Luiz for over £40m would benefit them at all as some kind of dodgy deal. Unless the PSG owners called up Roman and said "Save yourself Roman, its too late for us, but take all our money and at least the YOU will meet FFP!" I think they literally rated him as world class and have someone bad advising them on player prices. From what I gather, they didnt want a long protracted affair, because Luiz was under contract for a while, they just came in with a ridiculous offer they knew we couldnt refuse.
Luv, why on earth would we have taken £15-20m for him when we spent £25m + Matic? Luiz is a very good footballer, just not a great defender.
Moyes out of what? You do know he is currently unemployed right? Keep up ffs. Maybe I should change my name to FreeMandela.
Yeah Chelsea fans only send death threats to kids who don't give the ball back, referees who don't give you penalties and victims of racial abuse.
Personally, I'm quite impressed. I didn't think Chelsea fans had evolved enough yet to have discovered fire.
Ok but regardless of if you rate him or not the price paid just didn't seem right, if you were playing hardball and turning down £25 - £35 million offers and they just kept coming in with more then I could understand it but it seemed so quick and the figure high from the off. It may have been a bit like this. PSG. We are enquiring about Krusty? Roman. (covers the phone and whispers to Lampard) This will be a laugh. £50 million pounds and he's yours. PSG. Ok done. Roman. (Looks at Frank and stiffles a laugh) They said yes ffs!
I don't see the issue tbh. Chelsea didn't want him so he's moved on. Fair play to him for gaining another shot at the big trophies.
It's not the first time a player has been sold for too much money and it won't be the last. I just find it funny that as soon as Chelsea are doing things right in regard to FFP and getting brilliant profit on players that people cry foul play - can't win!
Any deal involving psg is dodgy. They are a dodgy club who think they are above the law. Hopefulpy they will be gone as quickly as they appeared. French football is a joke anyway.
