This time in 2010 , Rangel pretty well threw his toys out wanting to leave Swansea after a 150 games in lower leagues , with us , to play Premier league football with Blackpool.Well he stayed and played almost 100 games in the Premier within our style of football . If he had left for Blackpool in 2010 , I think Rangel would have got lost away from us and probably played a handful of Premier League games and ended up in Spain. Lucky Rangel that Rodgers and Jenkins changed his mind imo.

Compare to De Vries and Pratley for the contra-outcome.

We've had great service from him and he cost peanuts. Rock on, Rangel.

Rangel has served Swansea well on and off the pitch, He has qualified to reach Legend status and rightly so........It is good to see a player speak the truth for once and not give the usual bullshit when they move to a new club..who you may ask????? Vorm....He says it was so easy to leave Swansea for a club he has longed admired with Spurs, They did not have to ask me twice i was ready to join such a big club and i have no regrets at leaving the swans......What a guy..<ok>

He could have said .. 'I was away on World Cup duty with Holland when I found out the manager, I'd backed though thick and thin, brought in another 'keeper without mentioning anything to me. So sod 'em.'

I think Rangel is fantastic and will always think highly of him . But back then he was a little arse about " making it" to the Premier when all he had to do was shut up and play . The only time I was ever a bit frustrated and disappoint with Rangel

Or he could have said, I'm pissed off that Swansea bought a new keeper because my move to Liverpool fell through because of that Spanish bastard Reina <ok>

<laugh> .....back to Àngel Rangel Zaragoza , he has done very well for himself on and off the field, married a lovely welsh girl by the name of Nikki as well!.............<ok>

His best ever statement in the press was, He said: “It would be an amazing weekend if we can beat Arsenal and then Wales overcome England. Hopefully it will happen. And we will get to 43 points and Wales will win the Six Nations as well." “When you marry a Welsh woman you know your future is going to be in Swansea for a long time. I feel comfortable in Wales and it has become one of my homes.” March 16, 2013..................<cheers>

Rangel is one of the guys who , if departed , would have been a Sinclair , , Pratley , Scotland , etc and played very few Premier League games after imo... but in his vision to go , was talked into staying and a hundred Premier league games later .....its good to be part of the "Swansea Way ",

Love Rangel, he's been fantastic for us over the years but I think time is catching him now. A Swansea legend though, but, we need to get cover for him as I don't think his legs can take an intense season of prem and cup football. We need to limit the number of games he plays in order to maximise his performances.

Vorm, imo his demeanor last year projected his desire to go, even under Laudrop. I felt he was a step slower than usual and looked distracted, disinterested. Good luck to him, I've no problem with his moving on.
