    I see our fair city's son is commemorated by google today. Is that the first time any of our own has been honoured in this way?

    I wasn't brill at maths , but i do remember the name of the Venn diagram , tho i did have to google John Venn as i had no idea he was a Hull lad !

    On his wiki page there are just a couple of memorials to him or his work , but the Stained glass at Cambridge Uni is pretty cool TBH !!!!

    Yes, but the 3 in the BT ad section don't claim to be from Hull. Together with the 5 who 'people think are from Hull' that makes 8. At no point does the diagram or indeed anyone on this thread say 'all of these people are from Hull'.

    Or am I missing something?

    He's a bloke I know who's from Hull, who I think's from Hull, hence he should be mauve section.

    Coincidentally that's exactly the same section as Mick Ronson should be in.

    Spooky or what?

    He was filming some nonsense about our industrial heritage and had his poor director and camera man running up a bloody big hill lugging heavy equipment whilst he walked about pontificating.

    My dog nearly bit him, as he thought he could get all Jonny Morris with it, but I stopped it fearing the countries wrath.
