"You get more pathetic by the minute Blampey. I think your "bubble" has already burst mate. You are a boring t**t who has lost all credibility. Give it a rest or go and moan somewhere else."

    Ring any bells?

I post a message in broad agreement with your earlier stated position, yet you choose to leap upon a closing throwaway comment at the end that refers to your past. I think we can see your true motivation for posting on this thread. Needy.

I think the attempted suppression of alternative opinions by ad hominem attacks rather than debating/discussing them is not the best way to run a forum. Disagreements are normal and inevitable. But the personal attacks on Mr.Allam have often crossed the line.

Yes you're right. I apologize. Not the appropriate way to deal with it.

Not needy at all....except for clarification of what exactly you meant by that strange comment on my past. Nothing more than that....no hidden motivation.

This thread was never going to go well and was clearly going to get shot down by the self righteous brigade.

I'm not for Hull Tigers but everything else Allam has done for the club has been nothing short of amazing.

Problem is when you come on a forum like this is that you are always going to find cynical self righteous dullards who have nothing better to do than complain and act like their OPINION hold more weight than someone else's (usually because 'I was there when we where ****'.

I'm sure this post will provoke a **** storm.

There's no shutting down discussion for any of the reasons you quote. People can say what they think but should accept that they can be criticised. There's always going to be people who get carried away but on the whole people just give their counter views.

If you are against censorship and for debate why do you think people who want to debate the OPs views shouldn't be allowed to? Isn't that censorship?

There is no doubting Allams a very good businessman with his engineering business. But he is some day pretty soon going to have to bite the bullet and meet the council if he is to do anything about this 10000 seat shortfall. If he is as good a businessman as you suggest then he is being headstrong about this battle with them and it is costing him personally a lot of money. This has been passed on to the supporters with a 30% price hike. There is no doubting he saved the club at a time when it was going under. He has supported the manager with transfer fees that not one of us oldies from the bad old days would ever have dreamt possible. But there are so many things, not least the name change, that he has got absolutely wrong. The damage he has done in alienating a huge many of the fan base with comments is irrepairable for many. If the right price was offered then he should accept it. Your comment that he is a City fan through and through doesn't ring properly with the comments when he took the club over. He suggested that he had never been interested in football and that he was saving the club for the City. Yes, that word again, you know the one he will not now utter.

Didn't see any other investors either (like Bartlett) then or just before he brought the club.

Censorship? What censorship. I don't see any censorship here. He has been allowed to express an opinion and just because most of the posters do not agree with that you can not call that censorship. I used to support Allam but after last season I want the man GONE.He has treated me and all Hull City supporters with TOTAL disrespect. He might own the club but the supporters ARE the club and the club would definately disappear without the supporters. The club has survived both good and bad owners and WILL survive if Allam ****s off.

Well, eight pages and this thread has taught me nothing other than that the Canadian bloke doesn't know what censorship is.

    Bah.

I think it's accepted that Allam senior would sell the club if he got a reasonable offer.

People also seem to think that because he is 75 he can't have too long to go. I've recently done a questionaire that said that I had another 30 years to go (famous last words!) despite me being 62 now. That must mean that Allam senior should live to nearly 100. He might not stay in charge until then but it could be a long time. If the club does well then it may generate better offers but then the Allays would be more likely to want to stay.

I don't think much should be looked into the comment about Allam having no interest in football when he took over. That was 3 and 1/2 years ago, far more than long enough to draw someone into the sport no matter their age or previous views on it.

If he's said it recently, then fair enough. But just because he wasn't a fan at the start doesn't mean he still isn't now.
