Just been tweeted that Remy has joined the squad in Ireland, let's hope he makes it a permanent stay...
I just can't stop an uneasy feeling that we're missing something as more articles like this emerge. http://www.soccernews.com/loic-remys-future-lie/151700/? I know people are trying to fill column inches writing stuff like this, but it's just plain weird that no club seems prepared to want punt around £10-12 million on the boy given his on field pedigree over the last 12 months. Are other clubs playing the game and taking this to the deadline day wire whilst the Rs get him fit, do you think, or is there something else that's stopping this from being a transfer tug-o-war?
In Ireland Sooper! Sheet I want him back at Loftus Road.Who is he going to play with there anyway mate, Swords?
I wonder how this would have panned out if we had stayed in championship? Probably would have just gone quietly, personally i would have taken all this speculation this summer back on may 23rd
This article made me chuckle. http://www.offthepost.info/blog/201...campaign=Feed: offthepost/TLAa (Off The Post) QPR are ready to see off Newcastle with an improved offer for their striker Loic Remy, whose £8m move to Liverpool collapsed last week, according to reports. Boss Harry Redknapp has recommended the board offer the hitman a new deal that doubles his wages to around £70,000 a week as he seeks to address his striker shortage with the new season less than two weeks away. But the French striker is reluctant to sign a new deal with Rangers because it would change the release clauses in his contract. Remy, though, is only likely to renegotiate with the newly-promoted west London side if no other side makes an offer for him. Newcastle are currently weighing up making a move for the player they had on loan but have yet to make a firm bid. Redknapp believes the club will be getting a top-class striker who is already on their books for nothing and would regard Remy’s increase in transfer fees as more than worthwhile if his goals keep QPR in the Premier League.
I'm sure that Newcastle would have looked far more attractive to him under those circumstances. As for May 24th.... any excuse will do
