I wouldn't read to much into it, I can't see Wycombe letting him go just yet. But even if they do as much as I'm a fan of Harris it's not going to be the end of the world if we do.

its weird to think someone who failed to even play in a league 2 game last season could be subject to a 3/4 million bid

Yeah, someone's got it wrong - one's saying 50k refused and may be possibly upped to 70k, the other one is saying 500k refused with possibility upped to 750k.

To be honest, in the current state of affairs I reckon 70k+ plus a decent sell on clause wouldn't be bad business. If Fulham want him enough they'll get him and if he wants to move to a premier league club (and who wouldn't) then we couldn't stand in his way. It's unfortunate but it's the way things are nowadays.

I think its inevitable that Harris will go at some stage in the not too distant future - I would think he'll be with us for the coming season, play a few games (prob as a sub) then Wycombe will sell him with a clause. It wont be the end of the world, its the way the game is now. Rather than be annoyed or upset about it, we should probably wish the lad well and once again applaud our YTS set up that continues to produce top class youngsters who go on to play at the highest level in the best league in the world.

If the money is right then he'll go. I would really like to see what he's about first though. We've had glimpses of him in the first team and he definitely looks promising and it will be great if he can establish himself with us like Phillips did and then move on to bigger things if he's got the talent.

Would be a shame if he went. Heard a lot of good things about him and would like to see at least a season of him in action ..... But money talks.

Maybe a swap deal for a winger would could step into the team a do a job for us ?

Now that would make some sense. Sell him to Fulham, for example, for £100,000 plus a 10% sell on clause and get one of their **** hot wingers on loan for the season. Id be happy with that.

Why have an Academy and bring players through if we're not going to play them? I thought the point of it was that we don't have to buy players in as we grow our own.
I would not stand in the way of a good sale, but isn't there a chance we're wasting the club's money on the kids?
    Just a thought.

totally agree clubs like ours need to bring on our home grown players and nurture them until they get into the first team, but these young kids need a couple of seasons first team experience at least to pay back the club before we sell them on for a profit
