Despite stick and abuse, keeps himself in shape, works hard, and pays off in a goal.

He deserves a start in the team just for that. Might as well play him if he's one of the few who look committed to the cause.

as our squad isnt the biggest ,i would keep him ,comes on from the bench, gives something different

 

Gabbies a world class super star in the making. Pace, power, agile, direct, technique, good looks, decent boots and a pretty low body fat %.

To show what he is capable of this season he needs to be playing the cabaye position. If anyone can take over the strings in the quater back hole left by our dearly departed its gabs.

Best when he plays off instinct. I'd play him upfront if we're gonna keep him.

 

He played upfront for the reserves when I saw him a well over a year ago now, scored a hattrick if I remember rightly. Seen him around work a few times, never seems to be around the first-team players, bit of a solitary force, but very fit.

Shame he's the most brainless player to grace a field. And Paul Merson has been on one.

Against men, they don't seem good enough. But Obertan's pace is useful, so I have no objections to him being a sub late on.

Obertan is Championship at best. Never done it for me at all and has no place near the first team.

 

Colback hasnt even made his PL debut yet so i'm giving the lad a chance.

 

We need to make better use of his pace, but Pardew is bad at man management. We should be getting the likes of Sissoko and Obertan to make runs off the ball and run on to the ball, rather than asking them to receive the ball and skin players.

They can both skin a player or two every now and if they're in the heat of the moment, but if they have time to think then they're useless in that respect.

 

Colback looks like a canny signing. I'd have even paid a mil for him. For free that's a very good buy... well not a buy but you know lol!

 

Agreed. How can he be written off before he has even played a competitive game. I think will be a good addition.

 

Obertan will never cut it. Pace is all very well, he is ****.
