Shame he doesn't have the attitude or professionalism to match the potential.

Fully agree. Sounds like he has the ego of a superstar already.

Neither you nor I have the foggiest idea of his attitude or professionalism; of what went on behind the scenes to result in his leaving. Plenty of rumours abound of course from half wits (not referring to you, btw) only too eager to put 2 and 2 together making 22 but no one knows the actual truth of the matter.

His attitude and professionalism seemed spot on under Laudrup, so I wonder what went on afterwards? Obviously something did and, imo, we are the losers. I'll say it again, we don't have one youngster with the talent, the skill, the flair or potential of Poz and we won't get to see it when it flourishes.

Vasquez contributed just as much to our Premier League campaign as Poz with less match time, and that you cannot disprove. Stop making Pozuelo out to be something he isn't.

I thought Poz had some great matches for us, especially against Man U away last season. He may have been inconsistent, but he had a natural cleverness about him that few possess. To put him in the same sentence as Vasquez is a great disservice to him, in my opinion.

There appear to have been personal issues which couldn't be overcome, but I'm sorry to see him go as I feel it's a big loss for the Club.

I'm not. Do you understand the word "could"? I referred to his potential and that was evident to anyone who knows anything about the game. Many on this board agree with that and the pundits certainly did. Pozuelo had some decent games for us in the Europa and he offered flair and skill, something that our present crop of youngsters seem to lack with a capital L.

Anyway, done debating with you on this. If you can't see it, you can't see it.....

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but that doesn't mean everyone has the correct opinion.

I see 22 Premier League games, 0 goals and just 1 assist from an attacking midfielder. He not 17 or 18, he is 22 years old. He was easily bullied due to his small size, he wasn't very fast and increasingly ran into a tackle as the season wore on.

If that was one of our own youngsters plenty would be calling for him to be sold! With such a lack of end product and no sign of change he then has a pout, he was no loss. He was one of the three disaster signings by Laudrup, the other two being Vasquez and Shecter.

From a 22 year old AM we need assists and goals, like the one year older Jonjo Shelvey who even played in a deeper role!

You do not need to be a brain surgeon to realise that what happened on the training ground last season was unprecedented, and the fall out was just a consequence, we do not need trouble makers, especially new arrivals, anyway all water under the bridge!.................<ok>

And that flair and skill delivered very little apart from possession being turned over more than it was kept. There is no debate, just how it is.

One competitive game and one not recognised by UEFA and FIFA as eligible to contribute to a players career statistics?

This was discussed last week, it was done and dusted.

OK - we'll pick players based on statistics only.

NB: Why aren't Barcelona chasing Leon and Joe Allen because they had some of the best passing stats in Europe at one point?...and Mark Gower was near top of the assists list!

"we do not need trouble makers, especially new arrivals"

umm appending "especially new arrivals" to your statment tells me you obviously understand the irony of it

It's Ok for old lags taking a big wage for years whilst harldly playing to enhance their career opportunities by toppling the manager and removing anyone who speaks out against that, regardless of their potential and ability? OK. Shame Laudrup didn't get rid of the subversive element. Oh that's right he wasn't allowed to.

Pozuelo a disaster signing? If that's your opinion, you're welcome to it. Any more little gems?
