"Owned by the "Good Dr K" who loves to bag a winner at his local track, APOSTLE 3.40 Chester @ 15-2 has the plum draw in one and I think the instructions will be to try to make the running. Used similar tactics last time out when beaten by the very progressive KING TORUS at Doncaster. Runs in the second colours of Marwan Koukash but that is a tactic they often use regardless of how silly it looks to us! Martin Harley takes the ride and has a 23% strike rate for the yard. He is 3lb higher than his highest winning mark but the run at Doncaster strongly suggests that he is capable of winning off his current rating. Simcock's horses are running well , the barn landed a 120/1 treble yesterday , and if this one lasts home they will bag their 56th win of the seasons!"

Thirsk - tomorrow (Saturday) - On the bum for some tips/fancies?
Alright chaps? Sorry for barging in and setting up a thread. I'm a long-time lurker of this forum so for what I'm after it was common sense to come here and ask. I'm on a stag do tomorrow, bus load of us heading to Thirsk races, and I was wondering if any of the wise heads on here could point me in the right direction of some winners to help swell the beer kitty? Thanks in advance guys.

MISS MULLBERRY 2:40 p.m. @ 7/1, Progressive type and was bit unlucky lto and is now weighted to reverse the form with the winner that day; any improvement on that run should be enough!
Result....@ <applause> "Exes" S.P 6/1 The tenacious filly holds on grimly for victory!!!!<cheers>

OSTEOPATHIC REMEDY 3:40 @ 33-1, won this race two years ago and now racing from below that mark. If he bounced back to form, big if, he could belie those odds!

    Chester
    4:15 - Don Sigfredo

My only bet of the day. Has been close to getting his head in front over the last few starts, most recently at the same course and I think the extra furlong could do the trick as he's been running on well towards the end in his last couple of races only to come up short. Tom Dascombe not in great form at the moment but still wouldn't put me off backing this one.

Heavy going surely at the roodee today - alters the draw bias as well -seen the wide runners win on soft -with the right jockey of course!

    3.05 Chester - Ertijaal 9/4

Very unexposed 3 yr old, who ran in this yrs 2000 Guineas after running some decent races over the poly track at lingfield did not get the 1m that day but now back down 6f today. lto he ran over a shorter trip and travelled well for a long time out before finishing 5th in the bunbury cup he has plenty of zip and comes back to 6f a trip he won over as a two-year-old and was a close second to Toormore on his racecourse debut. And I can't really see anything beating him today

220 tight little race slim pickings and collidi look to be the 2 to watch small rf , as we all know AP likes to drop in unannounced and could spoil the party.
250 hand maid the clear fav supports a decent claimer but blaizing glen has the experienced jockey and has run to a similar level plus was supporting ew odds earier so blazing glen it is . I may rf if the first goes ok
325 foot the bill should not be double figures 10s still available with betbright.
    400 iguacu 7/2
435riguez dancer 12s looks on a very low mark here an should go well
505 PROVINCIAL PRIDE was and may still be ew friendly
    good luck all

    15:40 Chester - My Single Malt e/w

(Should go well even from a so-so draw. On breeding, going would be no problem. Ridden by top 3lb claimer Connor Beasley. Has to be e/w for me at best-I-could-get 12/1).

2.45 Down Time. Very impressive last time even in a worse race than this. Really should be favorite, I dont understand the support for vic, beaten fav 5 out of its last 10 runs and only won 1 in 36. Down time must surely go very close here. 6/1 looks a steal.

    Also like 2.00 Henrytheaeroplane 2/1
    3.05 Ertijaal 5/2
    3.55 NEarly Namad.

    Good luck

Good call Stick, I fancied it last night and then jumped to Knight Owl this morning.

In this next at Newbury I quite fancy Moment in Time but Jimmy Spencer is riding the damn thing!
