Your second part answers the first part. You've answered your own question correctly. If Inter would just take Dani = ideal Next best = they want us to take a player (or 2) It seems to me this is done to remove Dani. Job done. Yes, we'd ideally like the players to be good, but try and see this as problem resolved. It won't be just these players coming in. If it is we really have not for the right people managing the team or the club, but I don't think for one minute that would be it. I just can't understand how people make this out to be bad or a problem. It is solving a problem.
Di Marzio reports that Osvaldo turned down a lucrative contract at Olympiacos to go to Inter. I bet the greeks would have offered us a better cash deal than Inter, so we're trying to get the best we can out of this pretty bad situation. We're playing wingers under Koeman but we only have three that I can think of (McQueen, Isgrove & Tadic) so Schelotto is at least another option. Taider sounds like he could have some talent and if we do end up losing Morgan then we're not going to get suddenly caught short in midfield. Inter are not exactly going through a stellar period so their squad is going to be a little light on options they would be willing to part with
For his worrying about no more signings, just read this headline and then read no more.... We're linked to everyone http://www.itv.com/sport/football/a...s-hummels-to-arsenal-everyone-to-southampton/
If we can't sell Osvaldo and there is no way that he will ever play for us again, then we have to do the least-worst deal which we can. Leaving aside the quality of the incoming, if Danni managed to keep his nose clean and put in a performance or two, we might get something for him next summer. I assume that he more than one year on his contract?
Hardly surprising he hasn't been very good., Or given such stick from fans alike. He gets shifted around like a $5 Hooker., He never settles. His manager doesn't want him, His confidence must be rock bottom. I'm willing to give him some time, See what he can bring to the team, may be a decent back up to clyne, Without hving to spend any money.
Sorry, but this is way of the mark. They're not doing us a favor, they really want Osvaldo and they can get him cheaply. If they want to ship some of their players like Schelotto and Taider, we might be tempted to bring them, but it's completely unrelated to Osvaldo deal, it will go trough regardless.
It seems, from what I've read, he only plays RB in emergencies and it's far from a comfortable position for him.
With all due respect, And I'm the same too. But neither of us have watched him play football, Yet he gets all of this. I think IF he comes in, I'll be giving him the benefit of the doubt. Koeman is no mug, So if he plays, it'll be because Koeman thinks he can, and offer something.
Ok, sorry its way off the mark. If it is and they "really want him" why haven't they bid for him as a permenant? I wish you were right as the deal with the others and him going on loan would be irrelevant and he's be gone and out of our hair. He isn't. He's going on loan so still our player. And if these players coming our way are "totally unrelated" why are so many people getting their knickers in a twist? Finally, which ever way you look at it, they are taking Dani, that IS doing us a favour, trust me!!
What gives you the ****ing right to be so smug? Just because you have a different opinion doesn't automatically make me wrong! Yes I get it that Osvaldo has to go, but the evidence as I see it is that we are getting players that we may or may not use. They still have to be paid and we still need to buy at least a striker. Inter seem to be offloading their fringe players.
Thanks for the language, nice Well done. I think the tone is on the floor now. Not smug. Makes me laugh though that you descend to foul language to me for disagreeing with you and I didn't say you were wrong... if you read back, you asked a question; I gave you a response and just tried to use a reference to your 'plot'. You obviously didn't like my response judging by your use of language, but hey, doesn't matter. I just think it is pretty obvious. Yes, we still need another striker. I have not said anything different to that. I will re-iterate my main point though: getting shot of Dani is a key issue; looks like we've achieved it. Your post also relied on other people's opinion as to whether these players are worth having or not. I have no idea as I have never seen either of them play. I will wait to see them play and then make my own judgment.
I'm not interested in having this Jesus fella at the club, nothing about his CV anywhere fills me with any confidence. Inter are getting a proven striker (in Italy) in exchange for two players who don't really figure for them that highly. The only way we would be benefiting here would be to get in a striker or our own in the deal.
That is your interpretation mate. It's words on a forum. No need to go blue. I was actually trying to humorously link to your reference to plot... obviously didn't work.
as said, we've benefitted in getting rid of him for a season. that means a couple of million of salary savings. we can buy a striker we want rather than taking whatever inter don't want.
Taïder is a useful player. Schelotto I don't know much about. All I know is he's fast and has a high work rate. But as with Bertrand, I'll judge them in the stripes.
