Hi Reds, Leicester fan in peace.

Please don´t sign Ballotelli. I´ve always had a soft spot for LFC, even though I´m an LCFC fan, but I just can´t see BR´s thinking here on this one. The man will be more trouble than Suarez ever was. Have a good season.

we may be using it to get another target, hope so any way.

our sponsors seemed to have some influence with things when we had luis, can't see them being happy about balotelli, so probably a smoke screen for another target ie price.

although balo could be last option type thing, ie targeting better but have him lined up in case we don't get other target.

I don't mind Balo. His problems are exaggerated. He was a super youth at Inter where Mourinho ignored him and failed to provide him with any semblance of a proper rounded youth personality (that's fine, he won the treble there so you can see that he made the right choice for Inter). He was racially abused by fans, abused on the pitch by ****ers like Totti and as a young man put through a huge issue of race vs. ethnicity vs. nationality (adopted as a child to Italian parents, raised Italian without any ties to Africa, and then rejected by his own country on basis of skin).

He then was sold for mega money to a newly rich club that had no proper stability and was a collection of massive egos, flashy cars, and a culture of throwing money at their problems. Mancini was too busy dealing with Tevez and not losing his job to really give any guidance either. The English press have a field day making up stories that are often blatant lies, and exaggerating most that aren't.

Then he's sold to Milan where he now plays with the weight of an aging, crumbling team fully on his shoulders. Amidst turmoil, Allegri's idiotic tactics, and Galliani/Berlusconi's politics (both of which blame Italy's WC losses on him fully despite the rest of their squad being equally ****) he still has obvious talent.

Many of his problems are his own creation and he isn't some angel child. He is obviously lashing out and acting foolishly, much more than almost all players out there. But when you've followed his career from when he was 17/18 you sort of see that with a stable, loving setting such as Rodgers' Liverpool, he could excel and motivate himself towards better behaviour.

He's also said some nice things about Liverpool in the past. I don't know. Maybe im wrong and he's just a ****ing idiot. But he isn't a player I'd mind at Liverpool. He has a lot of potential that I think a friendly club could help him unlock.

Do we really need this? Someone who would be more interested in himself than the team and someone who at times useless on the pitch. I can't describe how angry I would be if this dickhead signed for us.

I love him to bits, but we don't need the angst at the club, we've only just got rid of one of these, lets have a smooth season for once.

yes but danilo its all his own choice and direct comparison to a lad like coutinho would suggest bad on telly is a morinic asshole.. .forgive my language. I think he's worse than anelka who was a dummy spitter but not half the trouble and for that alone the disruption he can cause verses the return makes it a no brainer.

someone will think they have a bargain this summer and for 3/6months it'll look it but within 18months he'll be off agian and that club will look foolish.

Look, let's face it, we've not yet got over Suarez. Give us a few seasons break from the uber-extroverts.

I'm over Suarez tbh and we need to get moving asap.

I think he could be a good signing for us.

Rodgers could be the man manger to whip him in shape.

Balotelli is a fantastic player. I really don't want him bc of his attitude.

Should we sign him however I shall give him benefit of the doubt until he screws up and support him.

Think it's a bad idea though. Don't want to become the pariah club that kids don't want to support.

He was pretty poor last night though :bandit:

He only is more interested in himself because the clubs he's played for haven't really given a **** about him and his upbringing. Liverpool aren't like that. All players are useless some days. I think playing for Milan isn't easy at the moment given how **** they are, through no fault of his own (more like Galliani's refusal to spend any money). Better option than Aspas, Borini, and Lambert combined.

It isn't really his choice. He's a young man who has had a LOT of problems. Imagine if you were adopted to English parents, but you were black. You have no ties to Africa, at ALL. You represent your adopted nation for your whole life, and then you STILL get idiots that basically say you're not "really" English and you should **** off back to where you never lived or identified with. You'd be a little messed up too. Your club doesn't give a **** because it isn't a properly run club that uses time, effort, and compassion to fix it's problems - it just throws 1000000000 pounds at someone to replace you when you **** up. The newspapers lie and invent stories about you, exaggerate every single move you make and turn the fans against you. You're sold to a corrupt, aging team that refuses to solve it's problems and places all the responsibility on you to drag them up the table. Your boss and nation later blame you for an entire WC squad's failure. All at the age of 23.

It is possible that what you said is true, and in 1 months someone will regret buying him. But it could also be that someone could buy him, take care of him, show him some support for once in his career and he really hits it off. He's got a good goalscoring record for squads not built around him. We could do a lot worse.
