SNN report the following medicals: Monday: Isla Tuesday: Mutch Wednesday: Defoe Okay, Defoe isn't having a medical on Wednesday .... it must be Thursday. Nice to see a few deals coming close to fruition.
Board have maintained that we will bring players in but will be more careful this time. I think the whole process has gone well so far.
Judging by some of the crocks we've signed in recent years 'medicals' appear to be a complete waste of time...
Cant disagree !! Mind you if Remy performs for us this season, Liverpool should be sacking their medical staff !!!
Methinks that Liverpool decided to back out for other reasons and the "failed medical" was so that they could save face.
These three would be brilliant one more creative quality midfielder and I think we have a much better chance of staying up and cementing top flight football . C'mon Harry pull it out the bag
Apparently bid has been rejected for Mutch, contrary to what Sky said earlier: http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...bid-cardiff-city-7551890#.U91V3BvrEn8.twitter
Well is he or isn't he having medical conflicting stories, fee agreed or not sky says yes sheeps say no.
Sky usually like to play it safe before they come out with anything (unlike Talkshite). I think that Wales-Online are a step or two behind. They are still talking about a new up-and-coming singer from the valleys called Tom Jones.
Ruddock, Warnock or our erstwhile poster who seems to have lost his marbles...................................................................................?
Isla set for QPR medical; . Isla set for QPR medical; Wenger praises Campbell and Sanogo Juventus F.C. general director Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed the club have agreed to loan Mauricio Isla to newly-promoted English Premier League side Queens Park Rangers. The Chile international, who impressed at this summerâs World Cup finals in Brazil, will join on a season-long loan, with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the season. Isla fell behind Stephan Lichtsteiner in the pecking order at the Juventus Stadium last term, making 27 appearances in all competitions, albeit just 17 starts. âTomorrow Isla will have his medical in England, as a deal has been reached with QPR,â said Marotta. âWe have already reached an agreement with the English club and the player has given his availability, it will be a loan with right of a permanent deal.â Additionally, Marotta revealed his plans to bring in a centre-back and a striker before the close of the current transfer window. âNow we are looking for a striker and a centre-back,â added Juveâs supremo. âNastasic? Weâll see if it will be him or someone else.â Should Juve move for the highly-rated Nastasic or opt for another defender? If the price is right, the 21-year-old Serbian would be the perfect addition to the squad but Manchester City may ask for a fee in excess of â¬21 million, having paid â¬15.2 million to lure the player to the Etihad Stadium.
Pardon my ignorance but what type of player is this guy? Is he a creative force because that is something we are sadly lacking at the moment? Should I be excited?
You should be excited because he is a very good player, but not a creative force which I agree we sorely need. Isla is an engine, he'll run and tackle up and down the right hand side all day long, and some of his passes and crosses will come off. But not most of them.
Does this mean that Simpson's place in the team would be under threat. I like Simpson, reliable and always puts in a shift but I don't think he suited to a wing back role.
