I hope its true, as I wouldnt put this United team in line for the title, top 4 yes, but not title.
But he does say "May" not sign any more players.......so it doesnt really mean anything, if a player comes along that he wants for the right price, I am sure United will go in for them.

 

He may or may not do something. Hard to call.

Sounds more like mind games to me

 

I agree with Bodanki, personally with the current squad I'm hoping for a top 4 finish - anything more would a bonus. Whilst no champions league this year is disappointing it may help us in the premier league , but missing top 4 again would IMHO be a disaster.

Van Gaal seems very good at managing expectations through the press and hopefully that is what he's doing here. He's already said the team is unbalanced. Personally I think with Vidic and Rio going we are missing another quality defender. And our midfield has been weak for a few seasons, hence we are chasing Vidal.

 

Won't finish top 4 with that squad and the pre season games have been poor so far

Our current squad is more then good enough of finishing in the top 4. I be more worried about Swansea getting relegated if i was you. At least Man Utd have a nice easy game to kick off the season.
