    Today's line up is

Fabianski, Tiendalli, Williams (c), Bartley, Taylor, Ki, Shelvey, Gomis, Sigurdsson, Routledge, Bony.

SUBS: Tremmel, Rangel, Kingsley, King, Sheehan, Dyer, Montero.

Very little width in that team. I have a feeling we are going to play Gomis every game even if it is out wide to justify his signing. would have prefered to have seen either Dyer or Montero out there. Can we read anything into Rangel playing last night and not today. Because if we have to go with Tiendalli for the season at RB god help us. Central 3 look very strong with Gylfi, JonJo and K.

Montrero and Dyer played last night as did Rangel Chico injured.

Maybe next week we'll have some idea of Monk's thoughts on a settled starting line up.

No live stream again yet Cardiff are on live tonight!!

Midfield is a strong looking trio. Not sure I want to read anything into Tiendalli starting at RB. Has he shown enough so far, or has Rangel shown too little, for the #1 / #2 roles to be reversed?

Bony and Gomis together is really a first look at how they work together against a stronger opposition. We know how Bony will play. It will be interesting to see how Gomis works around Bony.

Yankee who will play on the right. We only have one wide player in Routledge are they going to play Gomis wide or will Siggy be out there, with 4 across the iddle and 2 up top.

Trunds ... your guess is good as mine. Perhaps those at the game can post their appraisal early in the game. Let's set the front three to one side for the moment.

The midfield three are intriguing. No Leon, but Ki and Shelvey as the base of a triangle headed by Sig has a lot of promise. All three are play makers. If Ki can add a little bite to his game in a deeper role then he can be very effective there. All three can pose an offensive threat. All three can shoot. All three could hit a good dead ball.

Up front it is basically all about Bony getting a start, Gomis also getting a start and playing somewhere off him with Routs being the left over non-starter from last night. I'm not sure how these three operate is indicative of anything. If Gomis and Bony are more central then Routs and an opposite full back will be doing the work out wide.

22mins: Good chance Swans. Tiendalli cross. Great skill from Gomis to turn his man, but shot saved by McCarthy for a corner
