With Lightning Thunder pulled out (must be something amiss as the ground is not the issue) and Encke reportedly “not 100% ready”, my selections are reduced to two favourites: Extortionist @ 9/2 (no Olly Stevens quandary anymore) and Velox @ 6/1. No confidence given the chronic record of favourites at Goodwood this week, so it could well end up a losing week as tomorrow is a very below standard Group 1 and a couple of huge sprint handicap fields.
Im sure Applyby will be pleased with Encke's return he travelled so well he looked the winner then found nothing until staying on again late on.
Solid Justice Non/Runner My strong fancy at Ballybrit this evening is Show Court in the 6:40 race, from the King Weld barn ,this bay gelding finished 3rd in last years renewal on heavy going, leading until 150 Yards from home off a +3lbs higher mark! He had a "pipe-opener" at the Curragh 13 days ago over an inadequate 9 furlongs, back up to a more suitable trip, and on this better ground, with -3lbs less to carry, he must go close to winning this race! Max Pony Each/Way @ 6/1 (1/4 the Odds 1st 3 Places) I must have a saver on the Prince Martin barn's runners, Win on Dark Cruisader & E/W on Artful Artist, yerman's a legend Good Luck
Bit harsh that, I think. Was always going to need plenty of luck in running, and took a while to get going when he finally got out.
Probably right Archers, but given the seeming requirement of a lowish draw, I felt he was kept boxed in too long, as he was flying when it was too late. Some jockeys we almost come to expect it of, but not Hughes. I had a saver on Red Avenger - a £2 free bet from PP - but they still managed to claw some back with a rule 4 deduction!
I'm sorry but if stick had a 7-1 winner we have loads of congratulatory pats on the back. Blueracingfan puts up a 7-1 winner and not one comment.. This stick love in is a disgrace.
You said well done so that's one comment. Maybe it is because over several years on the Beeb and here I have built up a bit of a following? Either way you need to stob being such a knob and just get on with finding winners. Said it a million times before.....I am here to hopefully assist in the real fight against the bookies. Wake up, smell the coffee and stop being such a bell end!
Well done on that 7/1 winner Blueracingfan. Very close to landing a stunning double and as you tipped them both to win I rather hope you made the double each way. Either way, good work!
Stick. This was not for one moment aimed at you. You put winners up and seem to have a great following. I just dont understand why your daily bet has become the highlight of the thread. There are some great tipsters on here and I dont understand why a 7-1 winner from blueracingfan gets nothing when a 9-2 winner from you gets dozens of responses. All very odd.
