How's it going at your end Comm, settled down a bit now? All gone home to wash their red shirts? Speaking of Red Shirts, do people in Thailand not wear red tops when they're not protesting incase people think they are protesting, like in Cali where you shouldn't wear blue unless you're a Crip? I got told to unbutton my top button on my shirt in Vegas by a 'store clerk', or I'd 'probably be set upon by some gangsta's in the mall'.
As with everything mate, give it time it all settles down.. Looks the army are planning to stay in control for quite some time.. Makes no difference to us. The red/yellow shirt thing will never be resolved.. Big meeting with some Russians at the weekend, fingers crossed on this deal.
Both sides are absolutely in the wrong here. There is no right. The Palestinians have been firing rockets into Israel for as long as I can remember, Israel are now hitting back. Unfortunately Israel's fire is about as accurate as a one armed blind man with a sawn off shotgun, and far too many innocents are being hit. Then again, if Hamas stop firing their rockets from places loaded with civilians then none would be taken out. Sadly, Israel don't really care whether or not they hit civilians, as long as they get the militants aswell, which is wrong. Neither side interested in peace, neither side is the "good guys". Makes for a bad cocktail.
Palestine are taking back land that Israel took from them that Palestine took from Israel. Just looking from post WW2 is short sighted in the extreme.
Not really mate. If Israel had more intel they would be able to hit points with minimal civilian casualties, not every rocket Hamas fires is from a school or hospital. Israel howwever are just seeing a rocket fired and responding with 10 of their own, with no real thought behind it. Sad state of affairs but if you ignore the propaganda and use your brain you have to come down more on the Israeli side.
You seem a decent poster usually but I can't take that seriously, there's more holes in that paragraph than there are in Mama Fratelli's Jeep. I'm gonna take it as just a rant!
On re-reading that paragrap, I'm going to have to say yeah, mark it off as a rant and in future I will always proof read long posts
I get where the passion and the basis for your argument comes from mate, it's completely ****ed up and so warped the whole conflict, I can't say either are acting humanely, and have always maintained the two 'forces' are as bad as each other. The confusing part from me was just your dismissal of intel capabilities towards Mossad and Shayatet 13, two real elite organisations right there who wouldn't **** about carpet bombing unspecified targets, they'll be behind this whole operation pulling the strings no doubt. Got respect for both of those units, they're well oiled.
You are clearly more knowledgeable on this subject than I am. What has pissed me off recently is all the wristbands etc saying #FreeGaza it makes me sick, ****ing Moeen Ali wore them for the test match, not like sport is supposed to be free from politics? Millions and millions are being brainwashed into believing the Palestinian's are victims of an illegal war here and the whole thing stinks.
My Mrs and subsequently her family are Jewish so have some Israeli roots although not directly. I don't profess to know that much and most of my opinion is formed on my time serving in the forces and how it works on the inside rather than the barefaced lies the media keep spinning. Brainwashing is rife amongst the orthadox religious matey, fortunately for me, I snared me a bacon eating variation who has almost no interest at all in it all. Sport should be exactly what it says on the tin, like you say though, it's manifesting into everything is politics... what can ya do?
You are correct, it's not right, they should have twatted three time as many of the Islamic twats. Less of the ****s to breed.
If these so called 'innocent people' don't want to suffer anymore for the actions of a terrorist group maybe it's time to sort their **** out and stop Hamas themselves. No Hamas, no rockets and tunnels, no Israeli incursions into Gaza to defend itself.
