Didn't he say he was too good for us earlier in the season, much as I like him and thought he wasn't being used properly by United, we have enough attitude in the team already?

Although he turned us down earlier in the window I could see the climate shift the closer to September 1st we get. He clearly isn't wanted at United, and if no better offers come in for him then perhaps something could happen. At his age he needs to be playing regularly, I don't think he'd get that at any of the top clubs in the PL, so he's either going to have to go abroad or adjust his perception of what "his level" is. Having said that, I'm not too sure I'm that interested in a player that comes to us as a last resort.
I would forget his original misgivings...if he came to get some game time, I would admire him for deciding to get his career back on track even at the cost of public perception. However, have little faith in a footballer showing sense...they just want to be a top club getting top dollar. I suspect he will go to a European club.
