We just signed a highly rated defender with a great future who could have gone to better clubs. Were you one of those who thought we might have European football soon after our last promotion? Do you think we should only be getting players who are worthy of being first pick in the top half teams? We need squad players! We're not ready for 25 top quality players. Krancjar being second pick in our team is nothing to scoff at. Again, we need squad players. We can't have 25 stars. And the most important aspect of staying up will be how the players apply themselves. If the squad we have now applied themselves really well, we'd have a good shot at surviving. With a few more additions we could have an even better shout at survival. A note to all worriers, I'm afraid there is no way to make this season easy. You're just going to have to cope with the stress because that's what first seasons in this league are typically like.
I like Niko and would hope we do sign him. It's some added dead ball quality (and I don't think we're blessed with a great delivery). He is also a player that will take shots on which is crucial if we're up against it as there can be a tendency to try to engineer tap ins rather than being brave. One that tries to make things happen and we need that IMO.
Can't get excited about this. Fall back, I suppose, but I think we should be doing better for the 25 man squad
Totally agree. Its going to be a tough season, we are a small club, there will be players who (naturally) will prefer signing for bigger clubs at the same level as us. We are no where near being a club that will be first choice of many players. Its a credit to TF, the board and Harry, that we are back in the EPL. Are any of Harry, TF, Beard perfect - no way. But they are the people entrusted with making decisions, I for one believe that they have QPR's interests foremost in their minds.
I can't really understand signing him He's overweight, not fit and was seemingly out of love with the game at times last season If he's a back up then fine, bring him in for a year but surely not as a starter?
Niko still feels like part of the squad to me, and I wouldn't object if he got his chance. Triple sprint sessions would help though..!
I dont think his fitness improved that much during the season, so that is my biggest concern. Hopefully he will be a backup option, which is fine.

and less of this....... please log in to view this image Blackburn Rovers have been a clucking disaster since poultry owners Venkyâs arrived. David Dunn however saw the upside of their arrival by unashamedly gorging on their chicken with all the acting grace of David Beckhamâs Goal 2 cameo. It involves tucking into a plate of lukewarm tandoori chicken pieces before trotting onto the pitch and praying the next 90 minutes pass without a particularly violent dose of the squits taking hold. http://sabotagetimes.com/reportage/ballon-doh-nominations-2011-blackburn-rovers-david-dunn/
I think he likes Harry and the Club, plus will there even be a season this year in Ukraine with the current messed up situation they've got?
