Well it seems Rodgers did all his scouting this summer by watching ITV with a bottle of Budweiser. God knows what he'll do next summer, oh yeah, it won't matter because he'll be unemployed.
If you were Clyne, Ward-Prowse, Fonte, Wanyama or Davis now, would you leave if you could - get paid higher wages, avoid a relegation battle. Their agents must be looking to earn a few bob arranging their transfer. It would not surprise me to see one or more of these leave before the season starts. Although I understand that the Club has had excellent bids for all the players who have gone, they obviously have not been too concerned about leaving RK with anyone to play with. No doubt we will see new players, but I cannot see our squad having any depth whatsoever. With new players having to gel into a team, RK will have to work magic and with the chance of injuries leaving him with academy players only as back up, what hope do we have of avoiding a very hard season and probably relegation. Why hasn't our chairman had the gumption to say anything - well he can't say we are getting the club ready for sale, can he? He might as well resign, for all the good he has been. That's it folks - time to bed. Don't have sleepless nights!
''Why hasn't our chairman had the gumption to say anything - well he can't say we are getting the club ready for sale, can he? He might as well resign, for all the good he has been'' Our Chairman not talking is the only good thing about this summer. Please, please Ralph....don't tell us anything.
He really should the posterboy for the 'I have no idea what I'm doing' meme. I can just imagine him sitting in his office startling at every noise near the door because he's terrified that someone will come in and ask him to decide on something.
I've heard some very concerning things this morning about the direction of the club from a reliable source (same as the Shaw tip-off). If I post what I know, the reaction will be along the lines of "nothing new here" but I can assure you it is not good and those of you were were chastised for pessimism should actually be congratulated for foresight and realism. We will certainly be bringing one player in this week but don't let that paper over the cracks (or should I say crevices) that will continue to emerge. Expect further departures including the man who represents everything our academy is about. In this instance, the club will do everything it possibly can to keep him as a symbolic measure, but don't be surprised to see him off too.
At least it's easier for us "pessimistic bastards" to take it because we've been preparing for it for months rather than burying our heads and pretending all is well.
Nah if JWP goes it's because he's a money - grabbing ****. Just like all the others. Who are all saying the same things about the club. But everything and everyone at the club is amazing and this season will be the funnest and bestest EVAR!
You know it. There's certainly no way that every single first team player at the club trying to force a move is because of something awful going on at the club, it's definitely just coincidence that they're all ****s or something.
I had prepared myself for Pochettino, Lallana, Lovren, Shaw, Schneiderlin and Rodriguez to leave. I didn't think Chambers or JWP would, but either way I'd prepared myself for a disaster so a couple more names on top of that isn't going to leave me too horrified.
