Chelsea are my favourites. They've strengthened their squad significantly, the team is hungry for winning the title and mourinhos second season is always his best.. United will take second spot: no European games and van Gaal has shown his managerial intelligence. City will take third place: leaving Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham to battle for fourth place. Eventually Arsenal will take that, out of tradition...
I'll plump for; Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, Man City Liverpool, Spurs, Everton. Wouldn't be surprised if any of my top 4 were to win it though.
Chelsea for me. then a toss up between Man City and Man Utd for second and third. Then either Arsenal, Spurs or Liverhampton for 4th. CL may be liverhamptons and Brendan Rogertinno's downfall.
Man utd will romp home with a clear margin this season, It's all bout 2nd place and that is much harder to choose imo.
Chelsea. Man City to chase all the way and I think Arsenal might surprise with a high finish. I think Liverpool might find European football will impact on their position whilst Man Utd should go close with LVG demanding performances. If we don't hit the ground running we could get a hiding at Old Trafford. Work rate and fitness will be essential there just to stay in the game, so we'll see what the new, tougher training regime will deliver in terms of performance. COYS!!
There's a box of crackers and some 2 year old tea bags left, but the tea lady is going to Sunderland. Sunderland wanted the tea bags as a throw in but Soton thought that would be giving it all away.
I think we'll see a return to the more recent top 4 mainstays: Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal. Liverpool probably 5th - they had a fluke of a season last year in the same way that Southampton did and I can see them returning to a more realistic position.
I'm going with City and Arsenal to be the two main contenders. Arsenal now have Sanchez and if their midfield can remain healthy they are going to be a force - don't forget where they were before Ramsey was injured at the start of last season. It remains to be seen what LVG has inherited at United and whether he decides to purge and rebuild or can fashion something out of his four #10s - he's a good outside bet. Chelsea .... don't know - do they really have a forward that can score goals. 'Pool have lost Suarez - how do you quantify the impact of that. Lambert is not a replacement. Sturridge and Sterling and ANOther will have to pick up a lot of slack. They've lost a scoring machine and the goals he provided - money is not going to cover that gap.
I admire your optimism (albeit tongue firmly in cheek ) PGF! If I believe as well do you thinks it's twice as likely to happen? What the heck, it's worth a try SWANSEA CIIIIIITY
1. Man City 2. Man Utd 3. Chelsea 4. Liverpool 5. Arsenal Never been impressed by Mourinho's tactics, particularly in trying to implement them second time around, it smacks of arrogance that he thinks he can stroll in with the same notebook and be successful. The Premier League has changed. I personally think they should have won it last year, but it was not the year to bore yourself to the league title however, so he inevitably failed. I think they'll fail again. In fact, considering how overrated I estimate their strike-force, I'm saying anywhere between 3rd and 7th is possible. Arsenal have made some good signings, but they're always on the cusp of losing that Champions League place. If they have a bad start, it'll happen. Man City still have an outstanding squad, a decent manager, and will always be there or there abouts. Liverpool have spent some good money, and I think they've improved, but there's no way they can challenge for the title without the only world class player they had. Still, I'm a fan of their style, and so I've plumped for them nicking a champions league spot
