I should start by saying that this is only ITK by at least two degrees of separation. In other words, not ITK at all. However, I am informed that KL wanted £100m out of the club before putting it up for sale debt free. Of all the theories I've heard so far, this one seems to have the hallmark of accuracy given the goings (literally) on. Thoughts?
You'd get far more money by keeping your prized assets and selling them with the Club. So what you've said doesn't make any sense.
That looks about right. Also, if Kat is looking to be made whole (and then some) and then pocket the proceeds of the sale, that's a massive slap in the face...I don't expect owners to spend themselves into the poorhouse, but she would stand to turn a massive profit on the whole venture, and neither do I cheer for billionaires to add an extra £100m to their bank balance.
I'm not so sure that you would actually. It may be close but by doing it this way, you'd already have the £100m in your pocket.
Doesn't make sense...sell the club with players (who were the biggest assets). This isn't a woman who directed things from Switzerland...once she formally took control, she came to matches and was very much seen to be interested. If I was doing what is suggested, I would keep my distance from everything. Not saying she will never sell...if it should become a bit burdensome...but doubt it will be soon.
It's as plausible an explanation for our current mess as any other I've heard. But all the evidence is circumstantial. We'll just have to wait and see.
Being honest....wouldn't surprise me in the least with Morgan and Jay going that's £140m+ from player sales. 16m spent in return. And with only hearsay of arrivals maybe joining us....sorry but not confident at the moment the club needs to pull its finger out its arse. Kat was rumoured to being approached by a chinese consortium last year so of course the rumour will gather pace. But we need quality players in and soon....I mean players out in done in days....players in? Well still waiting ...
Because getting relegated would shave a good 50m or more off the sale price, and potentially leave you holding the bag for a couple (very unprofitable) Championship seasons. If you were looking to pocket a bunch of cash, you aim for the Mike Ashley route: do enough to keep it afloat, skim the money on sales to reimburse yourself for all previous expenses, and then the sale is close to pure profit.
I heard that Katharina has a team of scientists working on a new strain of anthrax to infect the people of Southampton with once the club is sold and I am never wrong.
Look I was peed off yesterday but have now calmed down. Truth is players wanted out and we've got unbelievable prices for them. £16m for a player with 22 PL appearances is just crazy. McCarthy could be as good if not better. Lets just wait and see what happens to the money before judging the Board. Reed said all he could today. I don't want players at Saints who aren't fully bought in and Chambers wasn't.
