Reading the threads over the last couple days, it seems people seem to be getting anxious about the number of midfields we are being linked with and the lack of striker interest.
I feel people are getting anxious alittle too soon for me, we have 7 weeks til the season starts and 10 weeks till the window closes, we need to relax, we are being linked with strikers: Erdinc, the Bangura's, Dan Sturidge. I know you all want the deals to be rapped up now but sometime these things take time, remember the HBA deal last year.
Pardew knows what we need and am sure he and Mr Carr are working hard on these targets, we probs need to move 2 strikers out before a new one can be brought in.
Also am not complaining about the MF's we are being linked with, there all quality players and will add something new to the squad, Sissoko, Matuidi and the Zog.

So lets all just sit back relax and enjoy the influx of quality young hungry players that we are lining up.

I trust Pardew, and I think we will sign a striker, I just don't want all these god damn midfielders!!

As long as we sign a striker and we only let one or two of the likes of Guthrie/Ranger etc. Leave i'd be happy with our transfers and then would look forward to January, hopefully with a decent league position to get a few more playes in similar to Gameiro

Jury still out on Pardew until the transfer window closes as he tries to make this squad his own.

    So far; some good acquisitions.

I like him, he seems like he wants to prove himself, and he is doing it in the right way imo. Buying good players for good prices, Carr is worth his weight in gold. The way we seem to find these gems and do our research re. release causes amazes me.

Excited about almost everything as long as we get in some decent strikers and get rid of 4/5 players i'll be happy, and obviously replace any outgoings - jose? joey?

I don't trust him yet, he's too keen to blabble on like the used car salesman stereotype. I'll wait until he's had a year in the job before I let my guard down.

The release clauses we've triggered haven't been anything special; Cabaye's was well known and in Football Manager games at around the same price, Ba's relegation release clause was also common knowledge.

I would trust him more if I thought he was in charge of transfers. As it is, I think he is one of two or three people whoget to offer an opinion but not the actual decision maker

I just think other positions should be a priority atm, like a striker or 2 and an RB
