Heard somewhere that De Vrij is about to sign for Lazio <whistle>

Hummels would be an awesome signing, but obviously im hoping that doesnt happen, and its looking unlikley now Dortmund have come out and said they are refusing to do business with United.

Vidal has been quoted as saying he will not join United.

Blind is looking more likely, apparantly United have made a bid for him already.

id b happy enough with blind but vidal would b immense as would hummels. if we got just those 2 and noone else id b over the moon. but we r in serious need of top quality defenders, bar jones, evans and shaw i dont think the rest r good enough. maybe rafael on a good day.

    Ok, playing this 3 4 1 2 that LVG is alleged to like, my preferred team would be;

    De Gea

Jones Hummels (Vermaelen if not) Evans

    Rafael Khedira Herrerra Shaw

    Mata

    Van Persie Rooney

I'd like us to sign De Maria of course, but is he a defensive type right winger anyway? Maybe Valencia better suited to that role than Rafael.

None of the above has ever happened.

Vidal said United are interested. He also said No NO No to some random reporter as he landed back in italy.

Hummels - dortmund say they are not selling anyone. Nothing about not doing business with United. they have no need to sell. A big offer as always would change that, regardless of the club.

Blind - No interest from United atm. The same story is being used for Depay too.

    -------------De Gea
    ----Jones---Hummels---Evans
    Rafael--Herera----Vidal--Shaw
    -------------Mata-----------
    ------Rooney------RvP

Might even drop Herera to DM. and have Vidal and Mata side by side. mata as number 10 and vidal and b2b.

Playing Shaw as a winger? Hoping for another Bale then!

Mate of mine is a Saints fan and he said not long ago that he was better than Bale at that point so that could work.

Still hoping for Jones to hold down a position?

not a winger. a left wing back. still has plenty of defensive duties.

Well, he's as a wing back really, which seems to be van Gaal's preferred method. Both Shaw and Rafael could be useful at that, although I do believe that Shaw is ultimately cut out for a more advanced attacking role.

Yes on Jones. On the right side of three centre halves. I still do think he'll come good. Very good.

Again, he said No No NO. Literally related to nothing. Try harder.

You said they specifically said no to United. I pointed out they said they were not selling to anyone. Not the same. try harder

Mirror, Express, Squaka, give me sport <laugh> try harder.

I actually don't mind Jones. As a centre half though. Not sold at right back.

Interesting to see how Shaw & Lallana step up.

Vidal was quoted as saying (in broken English mind) "I do not go to Manchester". He just walked up to a random reporter and said "No No No" without being asked anything?

Dortmund said they are not selling anyone, which means they arent selling Hummels to United. Sorry if I gave the impression they explicitly said United.

As far as Blind goes, United do not comment on potential transfers so you aren't going to get anything concrete from them until if/when a sale happens, but they havent come out and ruled out Blind as far as I know.
If multiple media are stating United are interested, with several going so far as to say they have actually made a bid, then its a safe bet they have at least enquired about him.
