Very happy with the Lovren signing, he's just what we need. A good job so far with signings this pre-season.

Why would he be bitter about Liverpool paying £20million for a bang average player?! It's yet another bizarre signing by Brendan Rodgers.

come on lads, be the bigger man and sympathize with southamptons plight as the fire sale continues. I am put in mind of the mick mcarthy era sunderland who got absolutely destroyed in the prem and got a tiny points haul and relegated.

    I sincerely hope southampton survive.

Bitter as f**, don't think so Mush, go on the Saints site and you will see most Supporters are glad to see the back of him. He did the same to Lyon as he did to us, he will do the same to your lot if a really big club come in for him, bitter, no,just sad to see my club being used by mercenarys, and LIARLLANA comes into that category, they were both going to go on strike FFS, Professional Footballers, your welcome to them.

So do I. I've been on their board a couple of times wishing them well.

They don't want to hear any of it, everything is the fault of Lallana and Lovren leaving (even though they are also rubbish so it's good they left)

  12. I'll never condone that behaviour, it is **** when players take those sort of actions. However, you don't know what went off in the background. Maybe they were made promises that looked like not being kept and they felt they had no option but to force the clubs hand? We had similar with Torres and Mascherano, both claim to have been given false promising after moving but became a hate figure for Liverpool fans because of how they got their moves.

As regards to the bitter comment, it's because you have come onto our board (somewhere I've not seen you before) and starting saying things like "he will be off next season when a big team comes in for him" and "bang average player", pretty sure I've seen someone put "good riddance" too. whether you like it or not, it sounds extremely bitter.

With Lovren, it's fair enough since he was only with you for a year before ****ting on you guys (I've already said I don't want to see us signing players that'll go to such lengths for a move) but Lallana didn't exactly 'use' Southampton did he? He was with you guys for eight years and came through the leagues with you!!! Why not just wish him well after such great service?

That's ok. If a bigger team come in for him they'd have to pay up towards £30m for him which I think we'd all be happy with.

If he can emulate the success of our last defender that had a 5 letter first name beginning with D and a J in there, then we shall win the CL!!!
He will also score some comical own goals too.

Have been on your site several times when I felt something needed saying. It does not matter what went on behind the scenes, as you say, you cannot condone that behaviour, Liarllana was brought through the Saint's academy, Saints nursed him through his heart problems and over the years he kissed Saints badge more times than I've kissed the Mrs, he then got picked for England and totally changed,(who knows if he was tapped up by certain players), even Clattenburg told him that he had changed and was getting to big for his boots. The Newspaper page thanking us just rubbed salt into the wounds. It seems strange that he is injured for the start of the season as I thought he would play a couple of games before pulling a sickie, he cannot seem to manage 90 mins. Re the bigger club quote, I was refering to the Italian and Spanish giants, you must agree that Liverpool is not the biggest club in the world just as Southampton is not the smallest. I also remember a lot of wailing and screaming and tearing of clothes coming out of Liverpool a few years ago when Gerrard was going to leave. Bitter, just a bit.
