Am I right in thinking that Redknapp himself has confirmed that we are after: Deeney Fer Krancjar Van der Vaart the Iceman 2
well he is obviously reading all the QPr forums and seeing fans agitated 10 signings aint in the door already!!!
All his goals last season:
There's no doubt that the boy can finish, his record over the last three seasons is just as good as our Charlie's if not better. I'd be happy to have him.
Only in Harold's world Any other club doing business like this? About time more on here realised this isn't right ?
Unbelieveable. We bang on about getting young hungry players from the championship. Harry goes for one and a load of people say he is not good enough. We don't know charlie will do it for us yet. Give him a go let see what he can do.
Precisely ....... I think we should be upbeat with current signings and those that are proposed. A lot of owners won't show the interest that our Tonz has shown, nor the cash. We have a lot to be thankful for.
Mmmmmm?? Certainly an impressive number of goals, but how complete a player is he??? Every single one with his right foot, not a single instance of a headed goal or using his left foot at all!!!
Deeney is big, very fast and very tough. That combination of attributes can sometimes make up for a lack of experience and skill as he can bully anyone. I very much doubt Harry's looking at him to be Austins strike partner, but he really could turn out to be a very good signing. He'd get the experience with us and could prove to be the real deal, it's just the asking price that's a tad hard to take, but nowadays show me a single signing of an English player that isn't over inflated?!
As a Watford fan I don't want him going anwyhere. I think he'd be a great signing for you. I do agree about the transfer fee but leicester and Fulham set the bar by paying 11.5 and 10 for McCormack and Ulloa respectively. We're not going to accept much less than that.
Sorry DT, dont have the time or the knowledge, to look into how all other EPL teams do there transfer business. And I imagine vast majority or even 100% of posters on vast majority of boards, will know all EPL teams and how they manage transfers - many will claim to know, very, very few will have much knowledge at all. So you claiming what QPR, and in particular what Harry is doing (outside the remit that TF & Beard have given him) being wrong, is rather surprising.
Too be fair to DT i think your missing his point. He isnt talking about the intracies of how indiviudal clubs manage transfers he' talking about Harry's habit of talking to any journalist who can find or whose number he can get hold of about players he'd like to sign before fee's have been agreed or even before any sort of bid has been made. If you can name another manager with a bigger habit or track record for talking to journalists aout signings then i would be very surprised. Cant be denied that Harry is attention seeking and love's the lime light
That's how I read it too and I agree. Harry is like "god, I'd love to have him at our club? Please, name your price!"
