I sincerely hope we're not getting rid of him whilst we're short on players!! Especially one who's got his head and heart in the right place. How can you tell a player he's not in the plans before you've found a replacement. That could be a grave error.
How about being fair to the player? We are now virtually in August, which means that we have already severely limited the time that O'Neill has to find a new club. If he ain't good enough for us (and he's not IMO) then it would be cruel to leave him hanging on.
