Obviously not as he said he'd like Origi to be at the club now, instead of the loan. Clearly the club feels they need the 3rd striker (who is versatile enough to play wide) and most of the fans will feel the same
This summer is turning into a real interesting one for us. I hope we go out and get a few more quality players.
i agree, worryingly i think peterson is going to be one of them now though and used in cup games. ie LF etc.
I'd hope the club would have had a couple of other targets lined up in case one didn't happen. Bony is a very different type of striker to Remy so I can't see them saying it was either 1 or the other. Need to find a player than can play centrally or out wide, has a bit of pace as well. Lukaku anyone?
Jamie Carragher ‏@Carra23 · 1m Dissapointed for Remy and Lfc be difficult to get another striker of that quality for 8.5 million. ----------- Apparently we knew about his problems previous which begs the question why did we waste our time? Oh well. Reading heart problems.
Guess wanted to test him out for themselves to really see what the issue was. Heart or knee...? Guess we'll never know.
I think its pretty clear that Rodgers wants a striker who plays wide. We could pay Lille extra and not loan Origi. But Origi is at a vital stage of his development and regular games at Lille will do him some good.
I meant as in you dont want a replacement for Suarez which Origi wouldnt be or will Sturridge be the main man then
Liverpool can only dream of getting a player like Bent. I would go all out for Becchio, or maybe see if voronin wants to come back
this is the point.. .why 433... cos you've one guy. I LIKE 4-1-2-1-2 because it puts the wind up every defense going as simply always having someone trying to get in behind is hard to deal with. having one guy who may drop deep on occasion means CBs have an easier time. if LFc want to win things we better play to strengths with is pace and through ball, not wide forwards cutting in and nobody in the box. We suarez in the team we ende dup 7th playing that stuff. 2 up and we finish 2nd... just a thought
Sturridge will definitely be the main man but he does pick up injuries and we like our strikers to be able to play than one position, I believe Lambert will play as mainly striker but he will be tested as CF/CAM at some point. We will look for similar players to Remy now I feel, Aubenyang maybe? He'd be a lot more expensive but is quality.
