Football does more damage simply because a large percentage of the season is played in winter. Where as RL is played mostly in the summer.

I've always thought the biggest problem with the pitch is it doesn't get a rest. August to May football season, February to September/October RL season.

Majority of football grounds get nearly 4 months rest between the seasons.

Mmmm well they're UEFA approved for CL matches so maybe you're overreacting to my post

I remember games played on artificial pitches so my wish not to see any more in this country is not an overreaction.

People would also do well to remember that the KC is a community stadium & was financed & planned for the benefit of both Hull City & Hull FC, it was never built for Hull City alone & I'm sure there will be something in the SMC lease which insists that unless FC default on their payments for it's use that they must be allowed to continue to use it. I would expect this also to be a clause in any potential sale of the ground

Modern artificial pitches have come on a long way in the last 10-20 years so it may be worth another look

The Anti FC brigade should be all in favour of artificial pitches as I certainly wouldn't want to play RL on one

At the time of construction, the local sporting landscape was unrecognisable compared to the one we have today.

    Maybe a review is needed?

There are still clueless turds who believe that their Sunday League team should be able to play in the KC Community Stadium.

I doubt that would happen as the council would love the chance to look at it & potentially change the structure so they start to make money from it, any review would certainly (at least in the current climate) be unfavourable towards Mr Allam

I'm sure if they could afford the rent for it's use that they would be made welcome <whistle>

I think what City fans are peeved with is the fact that City subsides FC. Plus what for ever reason the pitch is a mess for a lot of our season.

Another thing FC have had the there tenancy agreement change three times for there benefit. I'm not sure if that has happened to City?

I've just had a look at one there messageboards. Apparently they have made the RL pitch smaller so they can make football pitch bigger.

Look clever **** the Boothferry Park pitch wasn't re-layed 'almost annually' The daft bastards who used salt to defrost the pitch were the rugby league officials who wanted the match played. If it had of been a football game being played that week end it would have been postponed.

Who mentioned Boothfery park being re-layed annually? Only you have dippy as I was talking about OT.
So you admit it was the salt and not the sport of RL that messed up the pitch then Dippy just like I said.

Jesus I would get more sense out of my 3 year old daughter. Maybe next time you won't go on a silly rant and make a c..k out of yourself.

The Boothferry Park pitch also got a lot more sunshine and air flow to it
They also played a lot more games on the pitch which kind of puts to bed the to many games theory

They played football on it, first team and reserves. Boothferry Park was considered one of the best playing surfaces in the Football League. The boulevard and the old craven park were like farmers fields.

The goal line used to be the same as the try line but there is astroturf round the edge now so the back of the pitch is now equal to the goal line.

I'll translate that shall I 'Opps I have made a c..k out of myself so I'll fail at an attempt of a misdirection'.

Like I said if you don't want to be called a name don't post like one and if you don't want to be picked up on talking utter BS don't post utter BS.
