Esteban Granero heading for a transfer to Real Sociedad... http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...eement-for-transfer-but-can-t-be-made-officia
please log in to view this image It looks almost certain that Esteban Granero's time with QPR will shortly come to an end. The former Real Madrid player was something of a coup for QPR when he signed for the club in August 2012. The club were then relegated and Granero went to Real Sociedad on loan for a season. Real Sociedad were just as pleased to get Granero as QPR had been but he was only with them for just over a month when he injured his cruciate ligament in the Champions League. It was a huge blow for Granero, the move to England hadn't really worked out and the loan was a good opportunity for all involved. Granero returned to playing at the end of last season and has impressed Real Sociedad sufficiently to make them want to complete a permanent deal. Cadena Cope in Spain report on Saturday that QPR and the Spanish club have outline agreement on a deal which could be completed over the next week. The midfielder will join Real Sociedad on a four year contract and the club's president Jokin Aperribay is in London finalising the deal and terms of payment with QPR. There is no mention of what the fee is at this stage but Cadena Cope say that Real Sociedad are buying all of Granero's registration rights, and that this deal is instead of a further loan. http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/qpr-have-outline-agreement-for-transfer-but-can-t-be-made-officia Wont cry myself to sleep over it but it leaves us with yet another midfield slot to fill.
Sorry Soop, don't know how I didn't spot your thread before posting, I looked, honest! Please merge or delete mine, cheers mods
Just when we had convinced ourselves he could do a good job and was the right sort.........shame, but probably the right move for him. We really need some quality in midfield.
